  1. Note regarding versions: The regular version will have a file name ending in _rebuild_#. Versions with a file name ending in _ungoogled disables embedded Google APIs in much the same way that "ungoogled-chromium" ( https://chromium.woolyss.com/ ) disables embedded Google APIs. The "ungoogled" version is recommended for those that prefer tighter control over a Google-based browser basically giving special treatment to Google cookies and violating user preference settings. A side effect to this approach (which also exists in "ungoogled-chromium") is that the Chrome Web Store is intentionally broken only in as far as the "Add to Chrome" button is concerned. This is great for those that prefer to manually install extensions as opposed to obtaining from the Chrome Web Store. A workaround to restore the "Add to" button (special thanks to @VistaLover for this solution) can be obtained from here -- https://github.com/NeverDecaf/chromium-web-store Mileage may vary, for me this only added the "Add to" button but clicking it only downloaded the extensions .crx (which I personally prefer anyway) as opposed to 'adding to' 360Chrome. I had similar results with official "ungoogled-chromium" on the official Chrome Web Store (restores "Add to" button but does not actually 'add to'). Special thanks to @Humming Owl for translated .png files. Special thanks to @Dixel for discussions leading towards the "ungoogled" versions. XP x86 SP2: v12, v13, and v13.5 work as-is in XP x86 SP2 but v11 requires special modifications - see this post by @we3fan Download links for starting from scratch with a NEW PROFILE: Regular: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mes4wez1v34w9k4/360ChromePortable_11.0.2031_rebuild_8.zip?dl=1 (last updated: Jan 9, 2022) https://www.dropbox.com/s/wol8va166au2p7j/360ChromePortable_12.0.1247_rebuild_12.zip?dl=1 (last updated: Jan 11, 2022) https://www.dropbox.com/s/6lnst7yp0dt34s5/360ChromePortable_13.0.2206_rebuild_9.zip?dl=1 (last updated: Jan 11, 2022) https://www.dropbox.com/s/8h4z346251wg7r8/360ChromePortable_13.5.1030_rebuild_6.zip?dl=1 (last updated: Jan 11, 2022) Ungoogled: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6z65t5yo08fr0ym/360ChromePortable_11.0.2031_rebuild_8_ungoogled.zip?dl=1 (last updated: Jan 9, 2022) https://www.dropbox.com/s/j5zxk7aqv9ljjjc/360ChromePortable_12.0.1247_rebuild_12_ungoogled.zip?dl=1 (last updated: Jan 11, 2022) https://www.dropbox.com/s/ld5dz2uwdowf1cz/360ChromePortable_13.0.2206_rebuild_9_ungoogled.zip?dl=1 (last updated: Jan 11, 2022) https://www.dropbox.com/s/glulv6r8sce6xpy/360ChromePortable_13.5.1030_rebuild_6_ungoogled.zip?dl=1 (last updated: Jan 11, 2022)

  2. Was messing around in Internet archive and found this https://wayforward.archive.org/. First I expected it to be one of those "how technology will make my life so much better in 25 years", but it was not that. It was very well made dystopian image from internet on future. Just enter any site there and watch what will happen. Internet has gone from decentralised information network to more centralised (few giants left) and recisted place, making preservation and many other things too hard. I am happy that Internet Archive took their opinion on this, because lot of peoples are not aware those issues.

  3. That was only for Home Premium and Ultimate systems with Media Center. Some thought it could not be installed on a system that was already running SP2 (it dates back to 2008), but I successfully did so in 2015 and used it until Microsoft pooped the party (see Windows Media Center EPG ending in January 2020). It’s hard to think of a good reason to install it in 2021, unless some bright person wants to solve the EPG dilemma. It did add support for Clear QAM, which could be useful if your North American cable provider does not encrypt basic channels. It did not add support for h264, but I believe there was a hack that only worked for x86.

  4. Added new links (first post of this thread) for my new v11 rebuilds for XP x86 SP2 based on @we3fan's and @Humming Owl's experimental x86 SP2 tests. Regular and Ungoogled. Please note that I have not tested these and I have abandoned installing XP x86 SP2 on an old machine worth more to me gathering dust than getting x86 SP2 up and running.

  5. A few days ago I had problems in Windows 7 to access websites, Chromium showed the "Your clock is ahead" error but the time was correct. I used @heinoganda's certificate updater and it solved the issue so I guess this tool works on Vista as well. Cheers.

  6. Being off by one hour seems very minor to me. I have to "deal with" that 6 months each and every year because the "gubberment" falsely thinks that "daylight savings" is a 'good idea'. Spring Forward, Fall Back -- most retarded idea the "gubberment" has ever come up with in my (not so humble) opinion!

  7. Small update on the repository: Added proper IE9 EN-US installers files (gotten from the IE website from the Web Archive); Added the OEM only Media Center TV Pack and Wireless Feature Pack (the last one isn't needed if you use SP2); Added Net Framework 3.5 installers (can't believe I missed their absence);

  8. Noted. @we3fan assisted @Humming Owl in an XP x86 SP2 set of modifications that I have not ported to my release(s) yet. I should be able to get to that later this week and upload a set of XP x86 SP2 releases. I need to catch up on that list of modifications but if memory servers, it only pertains to v9 and v11. Since I don't release a v9 (at least yet, not sure if that is down the road or not), I think I only need to rebuild my v11. Will visit as time permits...

  9. Updated v9, v11, v12 and v13: - Added the "Classic 2" theme (it is similar to the Classic theme) (v11, v12 and v13). - Solved the problem of blocking Camera/Microphone. - Added more information about themes and NPAPI plugin support. You can download more themes here --> https://skin.chrome.360.cn/new/index.php (there is an Aero theme) - Added Flash Player Plugin (NPAPI): Version 32.0.0.371 and Patched 32.0.0.465. Cheers.

  11. In the Settings/Advanced: to notch imperatively (the change take effect after restart of browser, contrary to what it says): "Do not allow any site to show pop-ups (recommended)" (AND REDIRECTS... should be added here... because this rule blocks redirects too (perfect). Example of redirects page to test (safe!): Third-party redirection test: https://ndossougbe.github.io/web-sandbox/interventions/3p-redirect/ So if redirect is blocked, I see a little button in the address bar: "Redirect blocked on this page" - great! - found this ghacks article: https://www.ghacks.net/2017/11/09/enable-unwanted-redirection-protection-in-google-chrome/ EDIT: This way my confidence in 360Chrome has grown considerably, what a secure browser, never seen! Most Secure Web Browser of all times! And private too! I'm looking forward to even more awesome builds!

On 9/25/2021 at 3:49 PM, msfntor said: On this webrtc test page: https://test.webrtc.org/ - in 360Chrome 12 12247 r 7 build - have chinese text in the yellow popup for some seconds at the top of the page, then it disappears by itself, and I've blocked connection to 74.125.247.128 - owned by Google... ... then no test results (all are with red stop mark). (copied to this thread so I don't forget looking into this)
