  1. Although this could go in the "browsers" thread, I didn't want this to get buried in the many pages of that thread. After some detective work, I've located Firefox 52.9.1 ESR buried on Mozilla's servers and confirmed it works on Windows XP. The 52.9.0 version is dated 25-JUN-2018 while the 52.9.1 version is dated 06-SEP-2018. The links are https://download-origin.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/firefox/tinderbox-builds/mozilla-esr52-win32/1536215521/firefox-52.9.1.en-US.win32.installer.exe and alternate link is https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/tinderbox-builds/mozilla-esr52-win32/1536215521/firefox-52.9.1.en-US.win32.installer.exe. I've also added it to my FTP: http://sdfox7.com/xp/sp3/EOL/firefox-52.9.1.en-US.win32.installer.exe I'm not sure why Mozilla didn't make this release public, but ENJOY! Note that I don't use XP 64 bit but I would expect the same results.

  2. I don't think that anyone today is using Windows Vista for streaming or gaming but i'm pleased to say that the Elgato HD 60 S works fine on Windows Vista! It's a USB 3 1080p 60 FPS capture card which is widely known by Twitch streamers and is only meant to work on Windows 10. So @WinClient5270 you can add it to the list, if you like https://gc-updates.elgato.com/windows/drivers/hd60-s/download.php download the drivers from here, extract the exe with 7-ZIP and manually install the drivers in device-manager. The Elgato Streaming Software doesn't work because the installer blocks it but it's useless anyway because it doesn't have that much options and OBS is better for recording stuff. I'm also using the USB 3.1 TYPE-A PCIe CARD (works just fine on Vista) which allows you to play the games directly in the preview window with no delay! DRIVERS

  3. Sure, thanks for answer. I thought the opposite way - it's hard to find valuable information in ~1500 post thread, where different issues are mixed together. So maybe we should put separate topic for different issues and persuade you this way? Obviously kidding. anyway, decision is on your side.

  4. Same here. It's been a long time since 64-bit Firefox worked on XP x64, though I haven't been able to determine, much less download, that version. Anyway, 52.9.1 was a good find, Stephen.

  6. So for WebRTC protection, I too ended up going with uBO 1.16.4.7, for the following reasons: Been using uBO anyway Gorhill still maintaining the legacy version (1.16.4.7 was released 2 days ago) No need for separate WebRTC add-on No need to modify anything to allow installation (which would need to be redone for each update) No need to disable WebRTC entirely in about:config Edit: I should have known this, but didn't realize it until now. If you downgrade to 1.16.4.7 you need to turn off automatic updates, or Basilisk will just re-update you to 1.17.4.

  7. Elgato keeps saying that the drivers only work on Windows 10 and aren't meant for Windows 7.. well, it seems to work even better on Vista! I'm so glad to finally have it working on my fav OS and the solution is so damn simple.. Download the drivers from here: https://help.elgato.com/customer/portal/articles/2405414-elgato-gaming-hardware-drivers extract the exe and just install the driver with device-manager. manually. I don't know if the elgato capture software works, i'm using OBS which has more options and better recording abilities.

  9. Thank you UCyborg for your efforts in making newer versions of Rufus working on Vista! I can understand not wanting to continue maintaining it for Vista since so very few people still use it these days, but whatever you decide to do, thanks for getting newer versions to work on it. Thanks for pointing that out. Added to the list: I can confirm that the latest 4.0.1 release works fine on my Vista system https://imgur.com/8MPUeiG

  10. I tested 12.18 on a plain Windows 2000 Professional OS updated through EOL, which currently has Opera 12.02 installed on it. Opera 12.18 setup went like this: ...then clicking "OK" produced this:
