  1. Past hour
  2. The only XP I ran in recent times is installed on bare metal, virtual machines suck for fun stuff, unless maybe with specific setup that I'm not too familiar with and is probably too much bother anyway...if I reboot, XP gets all available hardware resources...until capacitors on this old thing still work, I can still mess around with it and have eXPerience as was meant to be.
  3. Right click on your clock and click lock taskbar once it's on the monitor of choice. Now this will reset again of you change anything with your GPU drivers as in updating or rolling them back, the task bar will switch back to your primary monitor. You will have to repeat moving it to the monitor of choice and locking it again.
  4. I find it amazing that Start11 can literally crash all of explorer when configuring its menus but StartAllBack which is one of the most stable pieces of software I've ever seen causes security or performance issues. If Tihiy has to discontinue SAB I will be forced to begrudgingly use Windows 11 stock because Start11 is not a viable alternative in any way. It's amazing that a company as established as Stardock can sell something just so bug ridden and unstable. No wonder there has been a rivalry (it seems), Stardock is this huge company but they can't even come close to matching the quality of the work of one guy.
  5. I'm having a problem where some of the tray icons I have check marked to only show in the sys tray will uncheck themselves. I have to keep going back into the properties and re-check them again. Anyone else having this problem and found any type of solution or perhaps a setting I may have missed that is causing this? Thank you !!! Edit: I would like to also point out everything else is functioning correctly and this is the only problem I have seen so far since purchasing this several months ago
  6. I have been reading this and ran the test video using @UCyborg's uBlock Origin 1.16.6b1 on PM latest and didn't see anything not even at the end.
  7. What's the point of fixing modernizr for IE5.5? IE regarding js and web standards really sucks. If you just want that people could browse with older browsers, use techniques like graceful degradation or progressive enhancement. Regarding browser choices, Windows 95+ users could use RetroZilla (bassed on Firefox 2.x) that's much modern and better than Internet Explorer 5.5. If you still want to use IE, there where a tutorial on betaarchive that allowed you to use IE6 on Windows 95. Regarding Windows 3.1 or lower, just use a text-based browser.
  8. The second one you also mentioned previously, but I didn't change any settings, "Acceptable Ads" is enabled by default...if this is actually considered an ad by AdBlock.

  14. Today
  15. The whole test video does not show any ads. In the last 10 seconds before it is ending, it shows a notification for an optional subscription and a preview image of the next video which would start automatically if autoplay is on. Sorry, I don't consider this to be advertising. And I don't believe that this can be fully blocked by an ad blocker. This is just an assumption, of course. I said: "And I don't believe that this can be fully blocked by an ad blocker. This is just an assumption, of course." This was really just an assumption, and I was wrong. Both elements can be fully blocked by uBlock Origin Legacy. Here is the code: www.youtube.com##.ytp-ce-covering-overlay ||yt3.ggpht.com/ytc/AIdro_mXEGaCazliYd6jLRL48P-rscos9Syk1sXeF7FWI7XB_5w=s400-c-k-c0x00ffffff-no-rj$image ||i.ytimg.com/vi/1OE6AtIUGk4/maxresdefault.jpg$image www.youtube.com##.ytp-ce-element-show.ytp-ce-size-1920.ytp-ce-top-right-quad.ytp-ce-large-round.ytp-ce-video.ytp-ce-element But to be honest, it is of course not worth the efforts. These two elements do not bother me at all. Cheers, AstroSkipper
  16. Hmm, interesting. In Chromium, I do not get a "next video preview" blob, it just goes from one video to the next without any "interstitial". A much more enjoyable YouTube'ing experience, I guess I will have to stick with Chromium over Mozilla for YouTube.
  17. I haven't caught that moment. If I did, I might have a clue what caused it. If the scale was linear (excluding that it stops at 1), then a rating of 11 would put the counter at 76-82 thousand, which is over the 16-bit mark. The other values of seeks/errors done are happily holding 34 bits, and the temperature is two fields packed with something in bits 37-33. High-fly writes (0xBD) also seems to top out at 1. It seems to be a strict statistic, but hasn't caused problems yet.
  18. Hi @Win32 and others! Can be implemented in extended kernel the function SetWaitableTimerEx and other similar stuff that rely on it? I read on some Microsoft forums that the mentioned procedure is used on some Office 365 installers and other Microsoft products, so maybe it might improve Office 2016+ in Vista, but not sure. In my situation, I've been trying to run NVDA 2024.1 in Windows Vista. They migrated from python 3.7 to Python 3.11, however that shouldn't be a big deal since I've been running Python 3.9+ with the dlls provided here. https://github.com/nalexandru/api-ms-win-core-path-HACK The deal is that running the installer or a portable copy of NVDA gives me the following error: The procedure entry point SetWaitableTimerEx could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll. Note that if you want to test, you need to spoof the sistem as Windows 8.1 or 10 to run it successfully.
  20. Those are just one example. I also get a "WIX" ad if I try to rely on uBO only. The "WIX" ad is just a picture, not a video, with a "Skip Ad" button in the corner. uBO will show this PICTURE and sit there, and sit there, and sit there, for WAY too long. Eventually it will disappear on its own, without clicking the "Skip Ad", but just that it sits there, and sits there, and sits there means uBO didn't "block" it. Which AdBlock did you try? There are TONS of them it seems and I've only had success with TWO of them. One auto-updates each and every time you launch your browser - strong dislike for my needs. That was this one -- https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/adblock-plus-free-ad-bloc/cfhdojbkjhnklbpkdaibdccddilifddb This is the one that I am using and it is doing everything I need it to do, but I technically run this side-by-side uBO. Here -- https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/adblock-%E2%80%94-best-ad-blocker/gighmmpiobklfepjocnamgkkbiglidom I use one-and-only-one filter list in "AdBlock -- best ad blocker": I use only five lists in uBO. Most (if not all, I forget now) are actually "default" uBO lists, they are listed in the "Custom" section because of the way I build my profile.
  21. I have been using CrystalDiskInfo as a general disk testing tool and have found a couple disks that don't show power on hours info. It shows a dash symbol or is blank. At about what hour mark do the two 2 TB disks reset their time at?
  22. I think you'll need to elaborate on your Chromium config, specifically the list that makes a difference in AdBlock extension. Those things you're showing never really bothered me, but I tried AdBlock extension on Edge and they don't disappear there either.
