I need help running New Moon 28.10 by RoyTam1 on Windows 98 SE. Tried using the guide (Firefox 24 / 52 on Windows 98) but got stuck on one part: First of all, where is the platform version located on both files? (hexadecimal string) Second of all, I need a HEX editor that works on Windows XP (and thus means maybe can run on kernelex with updates) or 98. Either way, I'd love to see it (and browsers like Roytam1's Arctic Fox, or a Chromium based browser) run on a fully patched Windows 98 SE copy.

No clue, to be perfectly honest. That is the very FIRST thing I check whenever a browser identifies itself as "ungoogled" and if the Web Store is hosting app data, the browser is NOT for me. "To each their own", of course. Only Official Ungoogled Chromium gets this CORRECT -

My bad, my v115 is not "CatsXP", unsure why I thought it was. And yes, I have Chrome versions v92, v108, and v115 that all run on XP! v92 and v108 are corporate versions, and NO, I cannot and WILL NOT distribute them !!! v115 has been discussed on MSFN. I forget where, exactly, but this site has a "search feature" for those so inclined to hunt it down.

Yes both are working at the same time. The mute switch however works on the laptop so I can mute the speakers and the sound will still play from the headphones. i installed the Yamaha soft synth , and tested some games and it sounds excellent. the volume control works in the waveout program.

See what it looks like if you use the scaling switches I'm using. /high-dpi-support=1 /force-device-scale-factor=1 That fixed a lot of font issues for me.

OT. Last Vista one was probably based on Chrome 85, if I'm not mistaken. XP, most likely from 2016.

My XP continues to cut off the left edge of GUI fonts (web rendered fonts are fine). This is true in Supermium, Thorium, CatsXP, Chromium ESR 92, and Chromium ESR 108. In XP only. What can I do to assist in FIXING this - I will not become a GitHub member, so what else can I do to assist in tracking this nuance down?

VERY IMPRESSED so far !!! Even in a single-core VirtualBox VM running XP x86 SP3. "Ungoogled" is still not fully ungoogled - there should be no "1 app (Web Store)" in a fully ungoogled variation.

IT WORKED! when I set it to pcipatch §7900 it sprang into life upon bootupwith headphoners and speakers. i also noted that after first reboot on $7900, it garbled mydisplay driver on bootup, but subsequent startups seem fine. Using BOTH process tamer 2.14 (which comes in the portable zip of the app), together with process lasso (set supermium "always" priority class to below normal) works in my set up to tame processor usage peaks, making supermium quite stable, actually (compared to using either app separately or, needless to say, none of them).
