that just proofs it again, there are people around who fully intensional try to make bad influence i also tryed to point out girls and feelings and one of them trys for example over that (for example a guy did apear and tryed a different taktic, he scremed around i have the patent right - like rage out bla bla - only that these things at least dont work on me) - he had no patent rights by the way - he is trying to make bad influence a other thing is this win2000 question i often said that this is to much in more directions asking - it was a long road even for xp and we are a xp community - at least where we talked and where we post) - we can give win2k the codes - but they are around more like open source and so also it raise questions if you have a bad computer you in like every case can use xp i think they trying to make balast - in hope that the thing breaks up (i dont fall for that) i often said also you wasted a lot of energy into the win2k question - its not like that i hate win2k or something but i can see the other directions that user agent changer is no crime either - rather i think its a crime from them to read out a certain computer like - oh this guy has win2k - just trow him out and make him buy a new pc (betrayal, monopol, anti-trust) that they tryed it with a virus and bad influence is just showing that rather you should fix the last missing one - it dont seem a problem to me - why you would give these guys (who kicked your compuper) leave a open hole ?

This feels like a "trolling". Is it? You probably only want "two" tidbits, but some things aren't "that easy". 1) Because I placed blind trust in one (it was not from here at MSFN but the "ideology" behind it is/was) and I had to reformat/reinstall because that trust was misplaced. The "updater" broke more web sites than it fixed. My mistake, I own every mistake I ever make. Personal Accountability. My only way to restore those broken web sites was to restore my computer to Official Microsoft and the way that Official Microsoft updates its own certificates. Which I guess is a form of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". 2) "Your computer, your rules." You really have to decide for yourself if you are going to "hack" your system. Maybe your system is already a "hack job", so what's one more hack on top of the several other hacks? Official Microsoft operating systems &/or Official Web Browsers already perform these certificate updates. "If your hack bricks your system, then who is really to blame, the publisher of the hack or you yourself for placing trust in that hack?" You asked me directly, that's my answer. Call it "Been there, done that." Or "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." But sure, that doesn't mean that YOUR experience with these "updaters" will also result in a reformat/reinstall. I can only tell you from my own experience that my trial on a "certificate updater" did result in unbroken cites being broken and a reformat/reinstall to fix the unbroken.

Thanks for the referencing to SSE2, i got some help from chatgpt to make a patched i_view32.exe which now loads jpeg/jpg files without error ( redirects to MMX i believe instead of SSE2 for the problematic path, though i've only done limited testing. ), also working that previously didnt is .crw file. i removed vtf.dll from the plugins as it was the one causing the "isdebuggerpresent" problem when trying to check installed plugins. i may not patch that file because it's not really that important, more of a niche plugin anyways. will update more later on other stuff. Also im gonna attach the patched i_view32.exe for use on irfanview 4.44 on windows 9x ( windows 95 osr 2.5 or newer ), should be up for at least a few days to download. https://limewire.com/d/Rfwr7#NECTyRfjXh

Thanks for all your help!!! Means alot!

Your links https://eztv.tf/home and https://yts.gg/browse-movies/0/all/all/0/latest/0/en contain automatic CF challenges which can't be solved in Mypal 78.0.3 at the moment or in the worst case never. These challenges are much harder to solve for a browser than the click box ones due technical reasons. The SSUAO won't help then.

Some other info below for config.sys profiles, also mem /c /p showed 10.8 KB of UMB and 600 KB of conventional memory free when using specifically the emm386.exe ram auto option below, the no good indicator means windows could not boot, it gave the insufficient memory message during boot. this is for testing with patch9x 0.9.91 + fix95cpu v3.0 and rloew's "patchmem /m" all installed from beforehand using maxphyspage=44796 and minfilecache/maxfilecache=52224. the NOEMS option doesn't work with patch9x apparently.: full config.sys sample "DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\HIMEM.SYS /NUMHANDLES=62 /TESTMEM:OFF DOS=HIGH,UMB DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE RAM AUTO ", last line substitutes below: DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE NOEMS FRAME=NONE - NO GOOD DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE NOEMS NOVCPI - NO GOOD DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE RAM HIGHSCAN - GOOD DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE RAM - GOOD DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE RAM 1024 - GOOD DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE RAM 2048 - GOOD DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE RAM AUTO - GOOD

My Browser Builds (Part 6)
VistaLover replied to roytam1's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
@kiza124 Perhaps below article is relevant on Win11 : https://www.ssl2buy.com/wiki/how-to-fix-unknown-publisher-warning Was that even on Win11 ? AFAIAA, roytam1 does not digitally sign his browsers' executables with a proper file signature; and, if you used a browser under Win11 to download, then the downloaded file should contain an Internet Zone file stream, enough on its own to trigger the security warning under Win11... PS: In New Moon itself, I've always set "browser.download.saveZoneInformation" (from default 2) to 0, to get rid of that file stream ... -
How does one use this?

My Browser Builds (Part 6)
kiza124 replied to roytam1's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
Yes, thanks, it downloaded quickly from this page. There's even an interesting version for Windows x64 with AVX2. I tried this version, but after unzipping and running the palemoon.exe file, Win11 Pro displays a security message: "Unable to verify the publisher. Are you sure you want to run this program?" I previously had palemoon-28.10.7a1-20250823 (Win32 version), downloaded from https://rtfreesoft.blogspot.com/, and it didn't display such messages. -
I tried Macrium Reflect (free version, 8.07783) and it worked. Copied the old XP partitions to my new SSD, and it was bootable. I was rather surprised that this works in Windows XP, copying the same system it is running on. Seems to have pretty much the same options as Clonezilla. Once I had verified they were working, rebooted to Mint and used GParted to resize the partitions and create a new one, Probably could have done that in Macrium too, but I have more experience with GParted. Previously I had got an old version of HiRen's BootCD (9.8) ran it from a USB, and tried to use the Norton Ghost it included. But Hiren choked every time I tried to launch a program from it, stuck at looking for a CD driver.

MaxPhysPage takes a hexadecimal parameter as multiplier to 4KB page size. MaxFileCache takes a decimal parameter that is multiplied by 1KB. Many Irfanview plugins are no longer W9x-compatible. Your CPU lacks the needed instructions: "Your instruction MOVDQA (66 0F 6F /r) belongs to SSE2."

Thanks jumper, but im already past that point, your method could be a potential workaround for specific cases. I'm at a point where the system.ini settings probably aren't as relevant as so much trying to figure out what could be the culprit to the misc. problems i was having, like ms dos prompt in windows not being able to launch with vbemp driver, etc. It could be that patch9x + fix95cpu v.3.0 + patchmem just dont do well together. i think i can uninstall patchmem to see if that might help with specific problems, but honestly, at this point, im really just trying to get specific programs to work, for example, irfanview 4.38 / 4.44 both have major problems and i cant get keyman6-2-183-0 to launch it's keyman application, mentioning kernel32.dll missing export to isdebuggerpresent, ( keyman32.dll and keyman.exe were culprits as viewed by dependency walker ). also the same missing export kernel32.dll isdebuggerpresent was mentioned by irfanview 4.44 when trying to select the installed plugins menu, and it happens when using the full plugins for 4.38 as well. both irfanview versions fail for loading any jpg file / about page, giving precisely the same error. i really wanted to get at least 4.32 or newer to work of irfanview, because of the webp plugin for example. bmp files work without problem, i tested both without any plugins, but they still fail with jpg files, even using the thumbnail mode to browse a directory with jpg files crashes the system. here is the error specifically from irfanview 4.38: I_VIEW32 executed an invalid instruction in module I_VIEW32.EXE at 0157:004dceb0. Hello. I'm very new to Windows XP and MCE under the hood. I have imaged a few computers in the past with both, so I have a foundational understanding but there is an issue I'm encountering that I'm hoping to get help with. I purchased a used HTPC from the early 2000s from HP. After a few months, I was finally able to find the official Recovery Disc for it. I noticed that if I reimage the desktop with the original HDD, I get no issues. But the minute I try to use a WD Black drive or an SSD, I get a warning that the disc can't be used with that drive. One thing I was thinking was to dive into the files, so see if I could figure out a workaround. I opened up a few of the config/ini files with notepad++ and found some bits and pieces of information but nothing in regards to the Disc looking for the HDD ID in order to know what drive is installed. I'm sure HP did this on purpose. I can install another MCE or Windows XP installation ISO/USB with another drive, but I would like to use the recovery disc that installs all of the software associated with this specific computer. Would anyone know what I should look for and how I might be able to go about changing the config file so that I can image the recovery onto an SSD or at the very least a faster HDD? My machine is the HP z557 Digital Entertainment Center but the recovery disc for any of the z500 series should be similar (some models have different GPUs but mostly all the same). I did change the RAM and CPU, so I have the feeling that the HDD is the only thing it checks for.

Short note. An honest user agent that shows Windows XP (NT 5.1) as the operating system, of course only if this is the user's OS, also works for the click box challenges: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:78.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/78.0

> 40000h - 39999h is 26215h 40000h - 39999h is 6667h (or 26215 decimal). So try up to MaxPhysPage=3FFFF if 40000 isn't working.

I tried downloading NM28XP from this page at https://o.rthost.win/palemoon/palemoon-28.10.7a1.win32-git-20260725-d849524bd-uxp-30427c0213-xpmod.7z, as well as from https://rtfreesoft.blogspot.com/, but it didn't work. At first, the download speed was 1800 bytes/s and supposedly took 5 hours, but then it stopped completely. -
So you can go to these two sites with out CF interfearence? No, very strange websites. However, all my tested websites have worked properly. Check your turnstile compatibility: https://browser-compat.turnstile.workers.dev/ This test was advised on this website: https://developers.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-challenges/troubleshooting/challenge-solve-issues/ BTW, your posted websites perform a different test, not the standard one.
