wow thats a pretty nice score. This is the score for my dads XPS Gen 4 that he bought about a year and a half ago

Processor: 4.3 Intel Pentium 4 3.8 Ghz

RAM: 4.5 1GB DDR2

Graphics: 5.9 ATI Radeon X850 Platinum

Gaming Graphics: 4.9 ATI Radeon X850 Platinum

Primary HDD: 5.6 WD 74GB Raptor

why is the difference between the graphics and gaming graphics a full point? Its a $600 video card and it plays games flawlessly!

My Score (about 4 posts up, just for comparison)

CPU: 4.9 AMD 64 x2 4200

RAM: 4.5 1GB DDR 400 (2x512mb)

Graphics: 5.9 Nvida GeForce 7600GT

Gaming Graphics: 5.3

HDD: 5.2 WD 80GB (ATA)

(note both of these scores were under vista 32, i'll post up my new score when my DFI lanparty arrives in the mail and i have vista 64 installed)

I also thought that it was pretty funny that I have a higher score then he does and I payed about 6 times less then what he did (i built mine myself). Also how is it that my $60 video card beat out his $600 video card?!

3.1 with the following specs:

P4 2.0A GHz Northwood CPU

Tyan S2266 Trinity 510 mobo

1 GB (2x512) PC2100 RAM

120 GB Seagate Barracuda EIDE

80 GB WD EIDE

40 GB WD EIDE

18X DVD RW (RAM, DL, + and -) plus CDRW

ATI Radeon x1650 Pro w/ 512 MB DDR RAM

Onboard Sound (AC '97 compliant, through the VIA chipset)

NetGear (Realtek) Gigabit NIC

My CPU was the bottleneck - I jsut recently got a 4 by replacing the mobo with an MSI 865PE Neo2 Platinum and the CPU with a Prescott 3.08 GHz CPU

THe mobo has onboard sound (Realtek AC'97) and onboard LAN (Realtek Gigabit Ethernet)

I added back my ancient Adaptec 29160 SCSI card and a generic modem for fun.

Adding 2 GB (for total of 3) memory next week....

i don't know what you guys are complaining about, having a cpu that scores over 5, my aging P4 can play most games out there and it gets 4.1

RAM 4.5

HDD 5.5

GPU (Aero) 5.8

GPU (business/3d) 5.8

and of course, my aging cpu, 4.1 :(

(sorry for double post but i had to say something after korn2007)
