wow thats a pretty nice score. This is the score for my dads XPS Gen 4 that he bought about a year and a half ago

why is the difference between the graphics and gaming graphics a full point? Its a $600 video card and it plays games flawlessly!

(note both of these scores were under vista 32, i'll post up my new score when my DFI lanparty arrives in the mail and i have vista 64 installed)

I also thought that it was pretty funny that I have a higher score then he does and I payed about 6 times less then what he did (i built mine myself). Also how is it that my $60 video card beat out his $600 video card?!

Graphics score is based on the Aero interface I think and gaming graphics is based on gaming? Also, his score might be down to poor/wrong/dated drivers.

My CPU was the bottleneck - I jsut recently got a 4 by replacing the mobo with an MSI 865PE Neo2 Platinum and the CPU with a Prescott 3.08 GHz CPU

THe mobo has onboard sound (Realtek AC'97) and onboard LAN (Realtek Gigabit Ethernet)

I added back my ancient Adaptec 29160 SCSI card and a generic modem for fun.

Adding 2 GB (for total of 3) memory next week....

i don't know what you guys are complaining about, having a cpu that scores over 5, my aging P4 can play most games out there and it gets 4.1

GPU (Aero) 5.8

GPU (business/3d) 5.8

and of course, my aging cpu, 4.1
