is nLite legal to use?

nLite isn't as streamlined as the Microsoft implementation, and requires a lot of manual work to customise whereas the Microsoft FLP is already customised to what would be useful in an corporate domain.

This is my opinion

but we will see in future

Considering how many forums you've posted the exact same comment to I think it's safe to assume that this is a deliberate, if rather pathetic, attempt at flamebaiting.

However, I am going to treat it in a more mature fashion and simply ask what makes you think it isn't?

It's a customization tool not a filesharing program.

It isn't going to spread unauthorised copies of Windows around the world.

It's not going to support organized crime/terrorism/the latest BSA fantasy etc.

Regarding nLite and FLP. You are comparing chalk with cheese and have concluded that cheese should be used for sandwichs and drawing because it tastes better.

The fact is that these are aimed at different audiences. nLite is a customisation tool for current operating system products. FLP is a operating system which is pre-customised with what Microsoft thinks would be useful in a corporate environment. In addition to this, sales/distribution of FLP is limited to Software Assurance customers only.

nLite also has the ability to save and reuse multiple profiles. In use the current profile is saved automatically as "Last Session" before processing starts. Previous sessions include the date and time of creation. This is a feature which has saved me a lot of time by giving me a known starting point with my most common customisations already set up.

BTW: How many forums did you post this to?

nLite mainly automates what you can do by hand (delete some files, edit text files). ;)

Yes i can do this by hand.

But i see kids to work with nLite.

Who dont know to delete some files, edit text files by hands.

This is essence.

Hum... I made a pretty big mistake in my answer : the question was "is nlite illegal to use" and I answered to "is nlite illegal".

And I have still a pending question : what is an EULA's legal status ?

Also, EULA is for... End Users. And when using nlite or any other tool or whatever, you're not really an end-user...

The conclusion has always been the same : there is no clear answer (probably as always with the law).

So if you want nlite for home usage, no problem.

Otherwise, avoid (nlite's own EULA, and also the fact you have modified something which could be a problem for a company)

If it weren't legal to use, it would not be a part of MSFN because:

This is not a warez site! Links/Requests to warez and/or illegal material (porn, cracks, serials, etc..) will not be tolerated. Discussion of circumventing WGA/activation/timebombs/keygens or any other illegal activity will also not be tolerated. You will be banned without notice.
Microsoft does not support nLited copies because you are using it to modify files from a source CD. You are using it at your own discretion. If you use it and screw something up, it is your own fault, not Microsoft's, nor nuhi's or MSFN's.

Also:

This community is built upon mutual respect. You are not allowed to flame other members. People who do not respect personal opinions and/or personal work will be warned in first instance. If you ignore the warning and keep on flaming, you will be banned without notice.

I rest my case.
