tommyp
Here's a hint if you are using nlite and you want your codecs to work. Don't remove any audio drivers.

maniaq
hi again,i just came here to tell that i found the problem and here it iswmp11 (wmp10) didn't worked because of nLite's "keep and remove files" by tommyp instructions:[KeepFiles]bdaplgin.axkstvtune.axksxbar.axkswdmcap.axl3codecx.axmsdvbnp.axmsyuv.dllpsisrndr.axvbisurf.axwstdecod.dllpsisdecd.dlldxntunp.infdxver.infdiactfrm.infdpvoice.infdmusic.infdsound.infdinput.infksreg.infdplay.infdxdllreg.infdxbda.infbda.infkscaptur.infmpe.infndisip.infnabtsfec.infslip.infstreamip.infccdecode.infwstcodec.infbdasup.sysccdecode.sysks.sysksolay.sysksproxy.syskstvtune.sysksuser.syskswdmcap.axksxbar.axmpe.sysmsdv.sysmskssrv.sysmsyuv.dllnabtsfec.syspid.dllslip.sysstream.sysswenum.syswmasf.dllwmpasf.dllwmidx.dllmsaud32.acmdrmv2clt.dllwmadmoe.dllwmsdmod.dllwmsdmoe2.dllwmspdmod.dllwmspdmoe.dllwmadmod.dlldxmasf.dllmsdxm.dllsl_anet.acmstrmdll.dlldrmclien.dllwmpdxm.dllwmploc.dllwmpsrcwp.dllwmnetmgr.dllwmp.dllqasf.dllwmvcore.dllwmvdmod.dllwmvadvd.dlll3codecp.acmmp43dmod.dllmp4sdmod.dllmpg4dmod.dll[RemoveFiles]npds.zipnow i want to know can i skip this "keep and remove files" in nLite and still get all the codecs work properly.tnx

tommyp
That list was compiled using a 2k source, heavily NLITE'd in order to achieve proper playback of wmv and other "windows media" type files. Because NLITE doesn't like inputs for 2k users, I had to figure out how to make wmv files play correctly. Thus the creation of the list. Bear in mind, this was put together waaaay before wmp10 or wmp11 was out, and I have no intention of using either.
maniaq
i did some testing and here is the list that doesnt work with wmp11 or mplayerc on my virtual mashine:Applemov.movApplemp4.mp4divx4-PCM.aviflv1.flvH.264-2.movH.264 (AVC).aviHuffyuv.aviI263.avimpg1.mpgWmv7.wmvWmv8.wmvWmv9.wmvWMV9-.wmvwmfdist95.exe in HF folder and here are the files in the codecs folder:EDITEDi want to know what codec files i need to run those formats? tommyp
I'm a bit confused here because I'm not sure what are doing there. Please just run HFSLIP with your codec packs, media players, etc, install your sourcess and try out the media files. Next run NLITE on the hfslip'd sourcess and then try your media files. Kiki Burgh
hey maniaq! see if you could give this a shot: HFSLIP_60819aChangelog:- [HFAAO] added support for addons in *.7z format; this requires 7za.exe in HFTOOLS (1)(1) You can acquire the latest 7za.exe from this page. Download the file of which the discription reads "7-Zip Command Line Version", extract 7za.exe from this package and place it in HFTOOLS.btw, some of the files you mentioned not playing are not supported unless you have a player that could compress/decompress those (i.e., H-264 are ipod related files which would require itunes) ... try using VLC ...
