And another reason for not using Windows 2000 is the lack of 64-bit and dual-core support.

I don't really think its the size on hdd that REALLY matters, it is "System Cache", in other words "System Load" that consumes up ram and makes things go SLOW...

If you can make on-start "System Cache" go lower than lets say 50mb, than it will be CUTE ;)

btw, hey gdogg :hello:

Good point.

;)

dual 2k not support dual processors?

I was thinking of a 2k version of microwinX for sure.

hopefully, I can strip more outta that, and keep it work well, heh

anyway , not trying to debate. Just thought it was funny going from 22Mb to 50 in a couple of weeks

deleted...didn't really have any value here ;)

When will it be out? Will Steam be working? (If you don't have steam, just download it and try. You don't need a CD-KEY for Steam.)

When will the wait be over?? im growing impatient! :realmad:;)

But we all know this guy is doing it out of his spare time, and

thus who are we to demand!

Maybe if we donated something to him via paypal :yes:

Lets face it. This project is the answer to everyone who plays computer games needs.

I say. Let him finish it in his own time.

i dont want to feel dumb but what is steam

go to www.steampowered.com , a new junkish engine for vaLve made games...

and yeah we are growing patient about it, we REALLY aRe ..! :unsure:

Thanks Suryad,

And to all those of you saying your tired of waiting, remember He's making this and it's benefiting you.

You are not helping with it's production, only benefitting from it.

And if it's beta date is when Vista comes . . .

If all goes well, and I'm praying that it does (meaning my computer works even though I plugged in a 12V connector into a 5V slot), then expect something on January 6th :).

"looks at calender" :whistle:

Guys I'm working my *** off on this project, but it just isn't ready for public release yet. Two major problems I'm facing is internet connectivity issues and game support. I know you guys want to help, but I doubt anyone has ever encountered a problem like this:

Windows IP Configuration

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection 2:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 0.0.0.0
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 0.0.0.0
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : fe80::20b:6aff:febf:57b4%4
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :

Tunnel adapter Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : fe80::5445:5245:444f%5
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :

And I don't have the error message output for the game errors, but it affects any game using the Unreal engine, the easiest to test since most games using it don't rely on the registry for configuration information. Haven't tried it out on any other types of games. Can't test with Steam since it requires IE, something that I'm not going to add until later on...
