As long as you don't use any IE based browser, which is just an open security sore IMO, you can't go wrong.

Opera has its good points, but the thing I like about Firefox is that it has enough market share that most websites now make an effort to render well in Firefox.

Guyz does anybody have any more comparision pages. Because i am yet to decide between opera n firefox. Are there any pages which have analysis in datail about layout rendering, Various script support etc.?

Guyz one thing which i would like to comment on is -

you regularly have exploits of ie and firefox announced. they have to release the fixes soon. but i do not remember anythink like that for opera? what are your opinions.

right now, i have 2 browsers installed.. Opera & FF1.5.. i installed opera coz FF1.5 eventually crashes.. Opera is fast, thats a fact.. it also has some functionalities not available to FF... ive been using it for almost a week now... maybe if FF continue to crash for me,, il make a big switch..

i tried Opera myself a short time ago. it is fast.

just curious though; what functionality does Opera have that's missing in FF?

and what version of FF are you using and is it a custom build?

I use IE because it's free with any install of Windows, can be secured easily (Tool -> Internet Options -> Security), and works quite fast. I've been using IE for as long as I can remember and have never been afflicted with spyware, adware, popups, or other malware, because I know how to use and secure it.

I hate FireFox because it's really creating a false sense of security among those who use it. They think that it's the best browser, it's the most secure, etc. and then wonder why they get some malware several months later.

I wouldnt mind a new browser but it took me years to figure out IE

If something could completely get rid of IE would be nice
