I personally use many of them, if a movie doesnt want to play on 1 of them, i try another and so on.

VideoLAN for video. It can basically play any video format out there. It is amazing. If a new format is created the creators are usually really quick to support the new format.

put vlc media player up there! videolan is the company that makes it.

I use Zoom Player Std (primary player), Media Player Classic and Nero Showtime for video playback.

I use foobar2000 for audio playback.

If a file can be played by WMP I use that. I kinda learned to accept WMP after v10 came out. It's nicer than v9 anyway. The reason I lean toward that is that other players don't easily accept files like protected *.WMA files and so on.

PowerDVD 6 for Dvds

Winamp / iTunes for music,

Windows Media Player 10 for vids,

PowerDVD / VLC for DVDs.

I usuall use Winamp for all audio/video. Sometimes WMP10 for different things that winamp won't play.

why is Winamp not even on there? winamp is awsome with all it's customizability. why do people like the POS WMP anyway?

I like WMP Because it simple to use, very customizable, uss less ram/resources than Winamp.

And the CD Ripping part is free and the most accurate!

I do use winamp, but i thing Windows Media Player is an exellent player for video,dvd,audio,live feeds, and other stuff winamp can't do!

The media guide is good, it is very good with DRM Files, And ive never had any problems with it

IDont know why other people like it but that is why i do!

EDIT: Also for people that want to proove WMP is very custmizable have a look at this MS Site http://www.wmplugins.com/ - ts funny they even have podcast on a MS Site lol
