Fedora if you want lastest Linux, really depends on what your looking for. Fedora comes with a ton of software with it. If you want a slim/small distro slackware or debian is the route you might want to take.

There are what called Live CDs for Linux. Basically Linux on a CD so you can try it before installing it. Hope that helps ya.

Last week but it is going to get formatted tonight to try my unattended DVD in a real environment rather than on a virtual environment.

Haven't reformatted my laptop in about a year now... thanks to Acronis.

I reinstalled everything on my desktop about 3 months ago, since that's when I got a new power supply for it so that it actually worked...Something's borked on it though... my own fault for installing a lot of junk on there. Probably gonna do a reinstall in a few weeks...

The thing is I hve to downloa all the ISO images.

B) nothin like a clean chassis and its a great excuse to spend a few hours away from the wife lol
