Incroyable HULK Posted February 9, 2005 Author Posted February 9, 2005 @beppemito - Yes, you can delete KB834707@Everyone - I have the exact same problem with KB867282 and KB885250 on a French DistributionI guess we'll have to add this one manually in our CD... they seems to work fine with the /q /n /z switches
muevelonyc Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 although it's not majorly used, might want to include this:KB887472 - Security update for Windows Messenger
RyanVM Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 Regarding the Windows Messenger update, you guys should probably know that the file it updates on the CD is in mmssetup.cab in i386 on the CD. It's not directly in i386.
RyanVM Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 (Yes, the list really is so long that I can't fit it in one window anymore)(And for the record, the one critical update showing is the .NET one which I haven't played with yet)
Astalavista Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 (edited) hi guysKB867282.exe /integrate:D:\XPCD\XP2\ <<<--- Solved u must remove KB834707.exe before installing KB867282KB885250.exe /integrate:D:\XPCD\XP2\ Here is all the updated hotfixes for SP2 in 17.4MB 7zip SFXhttp://rapidshare.de/files-en/557577/HotFixes.exe.html1. Lucius Snow Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 @ Ryan : If you're interested, i've updated myself your pack with the new critical patches. Do you want the INF ? That may speed up your work if you're currently doing it. However some of these hotfixes are non-international, so you may have to modify the checksum and the date of them in the INF because i put the french versions.
Incroyable HULK Posted February 9, 2005 Author Posted February 9, 2005 hi guysKB867282.exe /integrate:D:\XPCD\XP2\ <<<--- Solved u must remove KB834707.exe before installing KB867282KB885250.exe /integrate:D:\XPCD\XP2\ <-- got it!!! remove KB885835.exe prior to installing KB885250.exeBut KB885835 is still needed!
Astalavista Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 ****... really?KB885835.exeOverviewA security issue has been identified that could allow an attacker to compromise your Windows-based system and gain control over it. You can help protect your computer by installing this update from Microsoft. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.
