RyanVM Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 Give it a couple days. The EXE was just released yesterday.
netquik Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 thanks Ryan ... I knowi was seeking for news because i sdded the news to my site... no matter thanks
prathapml Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 @netquikWhatever the name of the hot-fix, you need to just replace it with the number. Like for example, info about the update you mention, should be available at this address:http://support.microsoft.com/?id=885894Just set your browser to keep auto-refreshing that page, until the time something gets posted there by the MS documenters.
Professor Frink Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 Nothing came out today? Shocking! Well, I hope there's nothing new, since I need a breather.
RyanVM Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 I'm hoping nothing new comes for awhile. At the rate I'm burning through bandwidth, I'll run out in about a week. There's no way I could put out another release this month.I'm seriously looking into setting up a bittorrent tracker for this to alleviate some of the bandwidth.
Lucius Snow Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 I can mirror your downloads if you want. That'd make less bandwith usage.

favorini Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 So is there a way to slipstream the IE hotfixes, like MS04-038, into an XP SP2 admin install point?-Fran
favorini Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 OK, to answer my own post: yes.WindowsXP-KB834707-x86-enu.exe supports the /integrate switch (although it isn't mentioned in the security bulletin).WindowsXP-KB834707-x86-enu.exe /integrate:W:\WinXPsp2where W:\WinXPsp2 is your AIP (i.e. contains the I386 directory, etc.) seemed to work for me.-Fran
sdageforde Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 @favorini - Thank you for the info.....I am sure that RyanVM's bandwidth will be grateful that /integrate works.-SD
RyanVM Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 Actually, I made the pack in the first place because I don't like the /integrate command EDIT: I'll work on integrating it, but don't expect a new release for a bit.
a06lp Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 don't expect a new release for a bit....but......but...Why not? I know there are bandwidth problems but ppl are offering to mirror...my CD is almost ready, and I want it fully updated.
