This seems to indicate that the forum software is not functioning correctly. Is that right? I visited topics in the Windows XP forum with 0 views that were not counted by the forum software. And my topics don't seem to be counted anymore either. It is clear that accurate view counting is an important tool for the author of an article. Therefore, I hope that this will be working again soon. Edited 3 hours ago by AstroSkipper Update of content
NotHereToPlayGames Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Technically... Counting replies is legit. But counting views also counts "bots" and not real "people". At least on many other forums. The "view" count is meaningless and misleading. REPLIES on the other hand can be considered an "important tool for the author of an article".
NotHereToPlayGames Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Or are we trying to count how many times a "bot" stumbles upon an MSFN Thread ???
AstroSkipper Posted 20 minutes ago Posted 20 minutes ago I am interested in how often an article is visited. It doesn't matter who it is. Bots are everywhere and can never be ruled out. However, I have never noticed any unusual increases of views in my articles.
