You probably don't notice because the caps in your approx. 20 y.o. display just dried out. Dell 2407 is 2005- 2006. We are getting closer to the end of 2024. Your display matches the age of a young, pretty 18 y.o. female. 2

Made using the same capture programme, running on the same browser. Noticed that too, just today. I couldn't notice earlier because I'm still mending up my eye damage. 1
j7n Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 The backround on my screen is almost black 18,18,18 in Opera (Opium). I think reduction of contrast on webpages is the result of people using new monitors set up to compete with the daytime sun. They won't turn them down at night. So webpages or browsers do it for them. The button that says "member" is white (247,250,249). Such stray elements make everything around hard to see and the dark mode a non-starter for me. The "member won the day" frame is almost unreadable. I can appreciate the limited viewing angle of a flat screen for cases like this. I tilt my head and can read it again, lol. I've adjusted my monitor all the way down, for the other monitor the backlight can't be modulated so it must be kept bright.

I have an almost 20 years monitor Dell, 2005 or so. The monitor isn't the issue. I also have no sun in my house, I practice black magic, they don't go well together, you know... or you don't know. 2

NotHereToPlayGames Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 Technically, the .png was created from an anti-aliased font. Select one pixel, you get (255,255,255). Select another pixel, you get (237,237,237). Select another pixel, you get (228,228,228). You can get any range of those numbers just by selecting different pixels within the .png button that says "Member".
NotHereToPlayGames Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 More importantly, that image has not been modified since 2016! You really really really should show us "proof" that you are being served a DIFFERENT image than this. This topic keeps hinting at this "Member" button being NEW - again, the header and even file name reveals that it is from 2016. I pulled directly from j7n's profile page.
