I wrote in the comment, and I emphasised on that, you probably failed to read. https://msfn.org/board/topic/186460-msfn-ui-gets-brighter-and-larger-with-each-update-hence-more-blurry-and-hard-to-read/?do=findComment&comment=1272714 2

Right-click on top of "Saxon" where you cite the text as too bright, access the "Inspect" and scroll down to this section. The toggle these two entries and report your findings on "brightness". I have a hunch that once you disable "text-shadow", the brightness returns to what you are used to seeing. Very unsharp fonts on this screenshot. Blurry fonts. 2
vinifera Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 uhh one could argue what is real lemon color same with that screenshot, even if it is PNG everything looks like crappy compressed JPG can't do comparison based on that

That's why I follow Supermium, to return GDI FONT RENDERING to Win10! There is this (https://github.com/GTANAdam/GDIChromium) but it's not been updated since Chrome version 103 and it's not "ungoogled". The "ungoogling" of Supermium has not matured yet, still very much buggy-beta. Edited September 14, 2024 by NotHereToPlayGames

I also checked the archived version of the website on Wayback Machine from January, new Chrome renders it brighter, old Chrome renders it darker. Also, these two versions are only ones that were tested by Chromium devs and vetted by larger population. Anything Chromium past version 109 that runs on pre-Win10 is unofficial and is vetted by much smaller population. The Saxon text he is referring to is white text on dark blackground with OS set to LIGHT. Even the HTML code reveals PURE WHITE (color: #fff). By his screencap, it REMAINS as white text on dark background with the OS set to DARK. Hey members, "members" (one more time, in the new "style"), I love how you both completely ignore the increased size of the UI, fonts, replaced buttons to the absolutely flat ones, but got glued to the brightness subject. Edge colours are the proper ones, they are tuned by the pros for using in Windows, Gonna argue about that fact, too? 2
Saxon Posted September 15, 2024 Author Posted September 15, 2024 And it seems this gigantic tiles "style" infects many sites all over the web. Probably made by the same company. 2

This may be a "geolocation" issue. You may be being served different content. NOTHING HAS CHANGED FOR ME. NO NEW UI, NO FONTS DIFFERENCES, NO BUTTON DIFFERENCES. Maybe your country is the guinea pig? And the rest of us will see these changes in a week or two? But for now, nothing has changed for me.
vinifera Posted September 15, 2024 Posted September 15, 2024 (edited) maybe its microsoft ploy to get you off vista maybe secret syndicate is ploting against your country so you switch to linux maybe your browser is ... Edited September 15, 2024 by vinifera

Same, the only difference I see from the copy of the site from January is the written theme name in the footer: IPS Theme by IPSFocus BTW, just added this to my stylesheet: li[data-role="group"] { display: none; } Now topic pages are like before when there was no extra text for group membership. Try to watch a video with text, pause it, add some brightness, see it becomes more blurry, 1

Areas where it was black are now dark grey. And I'm on Windows 8.1, unlike the OP. It has nothing to do with OS. 1
