It's simply not funny and very spammy. People are trying out to find out why those technical terms like cmd .exe are blocked, please don't interfere.

Take that up with an admin.

I have reported dozens (plural) of spam in the last couple of weeks.

They all pertain to cracks, keygens, and dating.  So YES, those words should be BLOCKED !!!

Admins are FAST and remove them within 20 minutes or so of being reported.

And NO TOPIC here at MSFN would ever NEED those words for the sake of discussing said topic.

This is about effective spam prevention on the board.

Whether Dixel agrees are not, the DOZENS of spam in the last couple of weeks could have ALL been prevented had these three little words not be allowed to be posted.

I guess it doesn't depend on whether the moderators want these words to be blocked, or not. It's up to the platform devs.

In that case, you've forgotten "women in your city".

I don't think so, what if I wanted to write I'm against using cracks, or tell it may even be unsafe? What then? What you suggest is called censorship, and I don't live in a place without the free speech rights.

Good point.

All I know is that I just had to report two more "click this link to get laid" spam posts this morning and I've basically had to report 2 or 3 each and every morning for the last couple of weeks.

MSFN has somehow become a HOT BED for these SPAM BOTS - WHY?

And while frustrating that the spam lands here, at least it isn't HUNDREDS posted all in a two-minute span.  MSFN has had that in the past!

Just saying NIP IT IN THE BUD.  Two or three every other day if not DAILY seems EXCESSIVE to me.  And a clear-and-present indication that "something" needs FIXED.

Because msfn need to pay for license key and spam prevention. Thats why! This is private site based on donations and I do everything for free. Here are some people from the beginning
and I respect them, otherwise MSFN will be removed from the net long time ago.

Calm down and be patient.

I have zero problems with reporting bots, just like @Tripredacus once told me to do. It doesn't bother me at all, in a huge contrast to you.

I even find them a bit funny, sometimes. The ones that were selling ego-boosting potions, for example.

It does not bother me at all either.  Just doing my part to keep the forum clean.  Please do not make assumptions, there is no contrast here.

No assumptions at all, it's what you wrote yourself, read above, all in capslock.

Two or three daily poor spammers seem excessive to you, come on, really?

"last"

I think it makes no sense to test ordinary and simple words. Those that have problems are usually tech. terms.

Long pause before the posting is done came back.
