Is this a Windows 11 thing or what causes it, and how to disable it :-) It's definitely not a Win11 thing, can u record a screen while this happens?
znerolnoht Posted July 26 Posted July 26 I'm trying to make a new taskbar icon for the start menu. I can see where to add one but trying different file sizes and types (pngs, svgs) results in an error or the icon is incorrectly displayed. Can you help with the requirements/formatting for a PNG or SVG?
tistou77 Posted July 27 Posted July 27 (edited) With 3.9.13, the address and search bar is wider (W10 explorer), please fix it 3.9.12 : 3.9.13 : Edited July 27 by tistou77

Seems like it is a thing that can happend when you use the pad on the laptop for scrolling (or a touch screen). It is controlled by this registrry entry: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Wisp\Touch] "Bouncing"=dword:00000000 A value of 0 prevents the windows from "shaking" when you scroll to the end.

Hugo Yu Posted July 27 Posted July 27 (edited) the word "second" here should be translated to 秒,not 第二个。 Edited July 27 by Hugo Yu

Yes compact mode and custom theme, but nothing changed in the theme for that Thanks EDIT: Indeed, with the default theme, it's fine Strange because SAB has no impact on the custom theme with 3.9.12 and address / search bar (not the rounded corners with a custom theme, for example) Edited July 27 by tistou77

No wonder I don't find such references in StartAllBack's translation file; Microsoft's translations (especially of Simplified Chinese) are extremely horrendous. 🤦 Edited August 1 by win98seFQ99
Uiti P. Uszer Posted July 28 Posted July 28 Feature Request: Could you please add a Classic (Win 2K, 9x style) Start Menu theme, like Open Shell has. Or can anyone link to a 3rd party Classic Start Menu theme for SAB? 2

I use Open Shell to get to old style meny (see screenshot from Windows 10) and on Windows 11 I now have to use both StartAllBack and OpenShell.

Let dev focus on adding new functions and fixing bugs rather than enabling what exist already. 2
click-click Posted July 29 Posted July 29 (edited) I am using toolbars with StartAllBack. My quicklaunch toolbar is for my selected Apps. I have another toolbar that is created by Lenovo Power Manager which adds a useful Battery object. If I checkmark that toolbar to show in the taskbar, the SAB start icon tends to disappear under certain circumstances. It reappears in different situations such as mousing over the start icon or clicking on an empty space on the taskbar. If I uncheck the Power Manager Toolbar, none of this happens and the start icon never disappears. Is it possible for SAB to make thw start icon stick and not disappear? Happens too if the taskbar is unlocked. Edited July 29 by click-click

Fullmetal1212 Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Hey there, I just want to thank you for all your work on Start All Back. It's been extremely helpful. Especially as I use this machine on a order picker and quite often need my notifications to be at the top of the screen so being able to put the taskbar up there is extremely helpful. I have encountered an issue I want to ask if anybody else has run into. I have this on one of my Windows 11 machines at work and I use the Windows key followed by a number to switch windows all the time. (WIN+1, 2, 3, Depending on the position of the app I want it to switch to.) But about a month and a half ago it started scrolling to the left on the taskbar icons instead of directly selecting the program regardless of what button I press. I'm running Start All Back 3.9.13 on Windows 11 Enterprise 24H2 OS build 26100.4270 Feature Pack 1000.26100.66.0 So if I try to switch to the first program on my taskbar,(using WIN+1) For example, it will highlight the one at the end and then just continue highlighting down the programs, but never actually switch to the window. This functionality works perfectly fine on my 24H2 system at home, and used to work perfectly on this machine too. I have also tried shutting down every running application other than start all back, as well as a multiple complete reinstalls, The only other piece of software on here that is new would be the Dell peripheral manager that they forcibly installed, despite me not using any Dell peripherals. The software was working fine with SAB, when this was installed, but that's the most recent piece of software added. Besides that, I have my Microsoft keyboard driver, which I've had for the entire time I've owned this machine, However, shutting down this software has no change. If I switch back to the original taskbar the function works perfectly, so I'm unsure as to what happened. So I'm wondering if you guys have any ideas. Thanks for your time.
