Uiti P. Uszer Posted March 3 Posted March 3 I am wondering what the correct procedure is for upgrading SAB, do you have to uninstall the prior version? Because I just upgraded it to a later version, but when done, the prior version launched (when I checked properties I saw this).

And have you got good result? My environment is: Win11 Pro 27802.1000, SAB 3.9.5 I have uninstalled SAB 3.9.5 and reinstalled 3.9.5, but failed, taskbar remained Windows' chubby and useless style. Not prior SAB version executed. Edited March 3 by Hiroki-H

Hilfsbereit Posted March 4 Posted March 4 I'm sure the developer has read the feedback regarding the new Insider Preview 27802, and is already working on a fix. SAB 3.9.5 still works with every minor Windows version, 27788 and lower.

How to reproduce: Say we have 2 windows grouped at the 2nd position on the taskbar. Focus on the 1st window of this 2nd group. Press "Win + Ctrl + Num 2" to switch to the 2nd window of the 2nd group. Switch to another window of another group by using the mouse to click on the taskbar the target window.(Do NOT use "Win + Ctrl + Num x" in this step) Press "Win + Ctrl + Num 2". After the last step, it focuses on the 1st window of the 2nd group (should've focused on the 2nd window of the 2nd group). Note that using "Win + Ctrl + Num x" in the 3rd step to switch to another window of another group doesn't trigger this bug and the stock taskbar also works as expected. I thought this was once fixed in maybe 3.9.1 or it's not fixed? I don't recall. But now, I tested on two PC and found it's still present on Windows 24H2 (26100.3323) and 24H2 (26100.3194). (3.9.1 ~ 3.9.5 all have this problem) Edited March 4 by Verstappen
Dam28 Posted March 4 Posted March 4 for me this specific feature is not working,it just seems to be the windows 11 one ALWAYS (language in screenshot is polish by the way) i am also using explorer patcher but uninstalling it didn't help,it still just makes the windows 11 one show, only turning off SAB makes it work,if i'm using SAB if i use task manager to restart it it shows, until i close it and again, the issue appears

Ataemonus Posted March 5 Posted March 5 5 minutes ago, Legofan said: Switches between a regular Windows 10 Styled taskbar and a Windows 11 Styled one (thickness, running program indicators and clock positioning) Yeah,. so it's named badly and the fact that Windows 10 taskbar is default now for Windows 11 mode in SAB is another weird choice.
gsrd90 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 hi, I don't know if this problem has been mentioned, but when I activate ExplorerBlurMica and activate the Plumpness function with Buffer the gray border at the top is not displayed on the center of the taskbar : on the other hand when the dynamic transparency function is checked with the same options it is displayed correctly : can this problem be solved simply or is a sab update necessary ?
pacificblue Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Is there a way to make the Start menu open where my mouse pointer is? I have two monitors, but it always opens on the primary one. Thanks!

pacificblue Posted March 8 Posted March 8 2 hours ago, ender` said: It opens on whichever monitor the focused window is. Yeah, I just noticed that. The window has to be open on the other monitor, and I need to click on it first. Then, when I press the Start button on my keyboard, it opens there. But like you said, a window needs to be active for it to work. If I click on the desktop (backgrounp/wallpaper) instead and press the Start button, it still opens on the primary monitor—it doesn’t recognize clicking on the other desktop as a way to open it there. Hope that makes sense!
click-click Posted March 9 Posted March 9 (edited) I noticed SAB has a lot of duplicate icons in the tray icons config section. Sometimes three sometimes 2. They may or may not be checkmarked. The icons are visible only once on the taskbar. I'm using a quicklaunch folder on the taskbar if that matters. Running with SAB 3.9.5 Edited March 9 by click-click
