StartIsBack+ 1.7.5

http://www.startisba...s_setupBETA.exe

- Better Windows 10 support

- Minor improvements

Thanks, pleased you're going to be supporting Windows 10, the way that new start menu-screen is turning out, Im not liking what Im seeing - they haven't given us back a start menu, they've made a smaller start screen...

EDIT - Looks like the right click advanced start button Win-X context menu doesn't work with SIB+ and Win 10 atm

Options make a product better. Not going with another product. That is a terrible program btw...

why don't you use ClassicShell? This was designed to bring the XP Starmenu back. StartIsBack brings the winVista/7 one back.

Win 10 10041 not working with SiB, could be because of new hook for the start button, it is now using a new classgroup TaskbarPearl in the msstyles.

Yup, hoping for an update, can't stand the new start menu/screen cr4p in Windows 10, it's got as much useful functionality as a potato, and with RTM looking like a June release, we need a real start menu again

Nice animation! Adds a touch of modernity.

A little suggestion:

Add 'Configure what the Mouse wheel does' when pressed. By default it shows Start. Like the Windows key, add a nice little 'Do nothing" option to it so we can get as far from the Windows Start menu as possible and only keep the dear StartIsBack start menu!

StartIsBack++ 1.1.7

http://startisback.com/StartIsBackPlusPlus_setup.exe

- Support for Windows 10 TH2 1511 November update:

* Jump lists fixed

* Immersive menus tweaking for SIB and taskbar:

Create DWORD "ImmersiveMenus" in HKCU\Software\StartIsBack and set it to:

1 to force white context menus for taskbar and SIB

2 to force dark enlarged context menus for taskbar and SIB

Great idea regarding: DWORD "ImmersiveMenus"

But can you expand this feature so that it also applies to the jumplists? I hate these new XAML jumplists that are hardcoded to be limited to 11 pinned items, when on Windows 7-8.1 I could pin up to 60 items. I know SiB shows the GDI jumplists in its start menu pane, but can you try to apply this to the taskbar jumplists as well by any chance? I'd be eternally grateful to get the FUNCTIONAL GDI jumplists back.

That would be great but unfortunately it's not possible within current SIB loading mechanism. I may create a separate tool for this.

StartIsBack ++1.1.9 (to-be ++1.2)

http://startisback.com/StartIsBackPlusPlus_setup.exe

- New: partial taskbar skinning! Windows 7 skin enhanced with taskbar skin

- Improved start menu display performance

- Critical fix: StartIsBack causing windows animations chopiness

- Critical fix: Some items are not opening propertly from start menu search results

- Minor changes:

* Adjusted French language metrics

* Fix start button orb going below start menu

* You can create "StartPane_MinHeight" DWORD in registry to tweak minimal start menu height

What is meant by this? "New: partial taskbar skinning! Windows 7 skin enhanced with taskbar skin"

Do you mean this requires use of a third party Msstyles theme to use the taskbar skin? Or is it some option that skins the taskbar even with the default Msstyles theme? I tried setting the visual style in the SiB options to Windows 7 but the taskbar looks the same.
