@Datalore

well with that collection, the RIAA are knocking on your door for sure :) lol

@ subcodec... yeah Media Library in Windows Media Player 9 is actually pretty **** handy.

just added about 20 of my CD's to my PC this weekend and it made the job a whole lot easier!

As for ripping tracks, i use a tool that comes with DBPower AMP - "DMC audio CD input".

Its a great little set of tools, is free, spyware free, and has beter features than all of the pay for ones ive ever tried out. it has freedb built into it so finds tracks and artist info automatically, check it out!

Wow... Have you listened to all 30,000 something songs?? :)

I only have 402! :rolleyes:

I know sven has about 1145! :D

I don't actually use the Media Library in WMP, I use a program called Music Library by Wensoftware. The program is aging and there hasn't been any updates in a long time. Even so, the program is very stable and even for a collection of mine that has over 20,000 mp3's, it does not suck huge amounts of memory just to run. When I have tried to use WMP or some other programs, after loading all the mp3's, it takes forever just for the library to load up.

I don't know my exact number, since I make backups of my legally bought music CD's onto my computer so I can enjoy my music there too.

I have about 5.3GB worth of MP3's. And about 1.3GB of WMA's.

I had over 20.000 but I formatted my HDD because a general hardware failure :blink: .

So ..... about 1.000 now ... and still downloading :thumbup
