Yes, it can be fixed by using offical way of installation.

 

 

Not sure what you mean. I simply ran the installer. And AeroHost is running just fine.

OK I see guide changed for 8.1 since last time I "installed".

I agree it may be a bit misinterpretation - but it simply means "it depends on user how he injects DLL into DWM, but if he is not able to do it correctly then he should use installer". I will hide Win8 part by default, because it can confuse people.

you havent donated (or at least no Key installed) so you have to do the symbol files manually.

This is small bug in my symbol pattern generator which can ignore some DWM versions in rare cases. I recommend either manual symbol downloading or updating your DWM to version 17415 (by installing November 2014 Rollup)
