steven4554 Posted September 14, 2016 Author Posted September 14, 2016 (edited) Updated first post to replace old update from last year, with one that's been released KB3185319. Edited September 15, 2016 by steven4554
steven4554 Posted March 15, 2017 Author Posted March 15, 2017 Updated OP, KB3185319 replaced with KB4012215. And I have added required updates you need to install before installing/integrating IE11!
darkangel0224 Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 (edited) For anyone who is trying to integrated patches into setup iso file: KB3177467 which replaces KB3020369 is not suitable as prerequisite for offline installation of the convenience rollup update package! Using WinToolkit v1.5.4.9 pops up the same warning that KB3177467 cannot be installed. I use this guide (https://skanthak.homepage.t-online.de/slipstream.html) as reference. For non-english IE11 users, download IE11 offline installer (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/18520/download-internet-explorer-11-offline-installer) then run the command-line IE11-Windows6.1-x64-zh-cn.exe /x:. (replace IE11-Windows6.1-x64-zh-cn with your filename) to get the cab files mentioned in above guide. Edited April 23, 2017 by darkangel0224
cc333 Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 I have a nitpick: This thread's title seems weird... It says this thread was updated this coming November? It's from the future! I'm fairly confident it is supposed to be 11/04/16. c
dencorso Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 The US is one of the few places that use mm/dd/yy(yy)... most places in the world use dd/mm/yy(yy), while some use (yy)yy/mm/dd. In fact, the latter is more interesting because, if one drops the forward slashes it creates a continuous sequence of growing numbers (yy)yymmdd, unlike any of the other alternatives... This being an international forum, one should expect to see all possible formats, because people rarely realize the way they are most familiar with may be unusual in some English speaking places. In other words, YMMV. 1

sdfox7 Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 After installing Windows 7 SP1, simply install KB4480965. This will bring you up to IE 11 (11.0.105) for January 2019. If you haven't installed Internet Explorer 11 yet, don't forget to install the 6 prerequisites first (KB2729094, KB2731771, KB2533623, KB2670838, KB2786081, KB2834140): https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2847882/prerequisite-updates-for-internet-explorer-11

I'm aware, but not everyone wants to install the 300MB April 2016 update, particularly if it's in a production environment and not connected to the internet.

This is why I slipstreamed mines. 32 + 64 bit. A clean install only about 50 to 60 updates to have a fully patched system.

erpdude8 Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 KB3177467 V2 is now obsolete like KB3020369. use KB4490628 or KB4516655 instead [both these updates replace KB3177467 and older servicing stack updates] very first update to integrate/slipstream is either KB4490628 or KB4516655 as either one is required to install new updates created in Aug. 2019 and later.
Dave-H Posted November 17, 2019 Posted November 17, 2019 (edited) I just tried accessing the website of a UK restaurant chain using IE11 on Windows 7, and it would not connect, saying there was some sort of security error, which couldn't be overridden. The address is https://www.cote.co.uk I thought perhaps this was because IE11 is now becoming obsolete, especially when I tried it on my Windows 8.1 netbook too, and got the same error. However, I just tried on IE11 on Windows 10, and it worked fine! Can anyone else confirm this, and has anyone any idea why it would work on Windows 10, but not on 7 or 8,1, using apparently the same Internet Explorer version? Thanks, Dave. bphlpt Posted November 17, 2019 Posted November 17, 2019 I NEVER use IE these days, but, just for you I tried it ( IE11 on Widows 7) and got a similar result to what you did, but it connected fine using SRWare Iron, a Chrome variant. IE11 indicated that I should "Turn on TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1, and TLS 1.2", but those were already turned on, and I did not pursue it further. If you can get it to work, I'll see if I can replicate it on my end. Cheers and Regards
