Manually Replace Old Icon in [Downloaded Program Files] Folder
ricktendo replied to rootsandculture's topic in XPize
occache.dll and the Offline Web Pages is located in webcheck.dll (but i see your folder attributes are not set to display it right) You may want to save this as OffWebPage.inf then right click on it and choose install [Version] Signature="$Windows NT$" [DefaultInstall] AddReg=Fix.Attributes [Fix.Attributes] HKLM,Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RenameFiles\ Win,,,"%10%" HKLM,Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RenameFiles\ Win,FOLDER,,"Offline Web Pages,1" HKLM,Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RenameFiles\ Win,FILE,,"Offline Web Pages\desktop.ini,6" -
I bet you have subtittles for this movie? Try moving the movie to a folder with no subs it will play, this has happened to me also

You can add info on the -ai switches but you will have to do this manually, a great example is RogueSpears Java installer. You can use 7zip splitter to decomplile it and look at his config.txt Here is the link to the new 7zip sfx and you can find 7zip splitter and the CHM on all the new features Source: http://7zsfx.solta.ru/en/
-
msistub is no longer needed if you use the new 7zsd.sfx
-
Shark you know you can make a 7zip sfx with optional auto install switches ;!@Install@!UTF-8! ;Normal RunProgram="AcroRead.msi" ;Passive [-ai1] AutoInstall1="AcroRead.msi /qb" ;Silent [-ai2] AutoInstall2="AcroRead.msi /qn" GUIMode="2" ;!@InstallEnd@! So all Sereby would need to do is run ar9lite_xxx.exe -ai1[or 2] and it will launch the installer with /qb or /qn Edit: nm I see you are still using the old 7zip sfx method

ty for the tutorial

HMMM I see no reason sp3 will affect this

Yes...mount the wim file with imagex and add the installed gadgets, if you want to set the default gadgets you can do this with autounattended.xml <component name="Microsoft-Windows-Sidebar" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <Gadget1>%PROGRAMFILES%\windows sidebar\shared gadgets\LiveClock.Gadget,true</Gadget1> <Gadget2>%PROGRAMFILES%\windows sidebar\shared gadgets\GCPU.Gadget,true</Gadget2> <Gadget3>%PROGRAMFILES%\windows sidebar\shared gadgets\MSNWeather.Gadget,true</Gadget3> <Gadget4>%PROGRAMFILES%\windows sidebar\shared gadgets\WMP.Gadget,true</Gadget4> <Gadget5>%PROGRAMFILES%\windows sidebar\shared gadgets\RecycleBin.Gadget,true</Gadget5> -
Problem copying file in VISTA
ricktendo replied to pokemon1's topic in Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI)
xcopy /y will not cut it, try other switches like /h /r or others C:\Users\Ricardo>xcopy /? Copies files and directory trees. NOTE: Xcopy is now deprecated, please use Robocopy. XCOPY source [destination] [/A | /M] [/D[:date]] [/P] [/S [/E]] [/V] [/W] [/C] [/I] [/Q] [/F] [/L] [/G] [/H] [/R] [/T] [/U] [/K] [/N] [/O] [/X] [/Y] [/-Y] [/Z] [/B] [/EXCLUDE:file1[+file2][+file3]...] source Specifies the file(s) to copy. destination Specifies the location and/or name of new files. /A Copies only files with the archive attribute set, doesn't change the attribute. /M Copies only files with the archive attribute set, turns off the archive attribute. /D:m-d-y Copies files changed on or after the specified date. If no date is given, copies only those files whose source time is newer than the destination time. /EXCLUDE:file1[+file2][+file3]... Specifies a list of files containing strings. Each string should be in a separate line in the files. When any of the strings match any part of the absolute path of the file to be copied, that file will be excluded from being copied. For example, specifying a string like \obj\ or .obj will exclude all files underneath the directory obj or all files with the .obj extension respectively. /P Prompts you before creating each destination file. /S Copies directories and subdirectories except empty ones. /E Copies directories and subdirectories, including empty ones. Same as /S /E. May be used to modify /T. /V Verifies the size of each new file. /W Prompts you to press a key before copying. /C Continues copying even if errors occur. /I If destination does not exist and copying more than one file, assumes that destination must be a directory. /Q Does not display file names while copying. /F Displays full source and destination file names while copying. /L Displays files that would be copied. /G Allows the copying of encrypted files to destination that does not support encryption. /H Copies hidden and system files also. /R Overwrites read-only files. /T Creates directory structure, but does not copy files. Does not include empty directories or subdirectories. /T /E includes empty directories and subdirectories. /U Copies only files that already exist in destination. /K Copies attributes. Normal Xcopy will reset read-only attributes. /N Copies using the generated short names. /O Copies file ownership and ACL information. /X Copies file audit settings (implies /O). /Y Suppresses prompting to confirm you want to overwrite an existing destination file. /-Y Causes prompting to confirm you want to overwrite an existing destination file. /Z Copies networked files in restartable mode. /B Copies the Symbolic Link itself versus the target of the link The switch /Y may be preset in the COPYCMD environment variable. This may be overridden with /-Y on the command line. This happens to me sometimes...when it happens to me in VM sometimes all I have to do is move the mouse and it continues, other times a second try with the same CD does the trick (reboot from CD and reformat again) I think its a driver thing because I notice when I include my personal DriverPacks this does not happen

How to customize unattended install options for apps?
ricktendo replied to Shardis's topic in Application Installs
You can change the program & shortcut dirs of some INF installers/addons -
Looks like the same issue that happens with XP and the user accounts icons Follow this link there is a reg tweak that fixed it http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6471

They are both rich... all politicians are

Your Vista needs to be activated on 1st boot and the uXtheme files need to be overwritten/patched for aero to work
-
You can set the default theme using Autounattended.xml, but of course it (aero) may only work if you've made some sort of OEM dvd <Themes> <CustomDefaultThemeFile>%WINDIR%\resources\themes\VistaGlass.theme</CustomDefaultThemeFile> </Themes>
-
Only reason I found out this works on XP without the need to patch it is you can download and install it from here or you can run this program straight from your Vista DVD on XP also

I am posting this in the forum in case you did not get my PM with this bug report, I am having problems with script.dll and [obsolete_files] This DLL is used by Files and Settings Transfer Wizard and I dont need it anymore since I am doing a full replacement with the MigWiz from Vista SP1 Before After Here is my addon, its BETA2 and in them they have a temporary fix to the problem. I have temporarily disabled script.dll under [obsolete_files] and instead I use [txtsetup_remove] and [dosnet_remove] to stop the file from being copied so you will not get this error I am talking about if you integrate them "as is", but you will get the idea of the problem http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=4202

Any way to logoff and re-logon without rebooting?
ricktendo replied to wallywalters's topic in nLite
If you configure your pc with only one user or it is set to auto login or has no password I suppose you could use /L and it will logoff and logon automatically C:\Users\Ricardo>shutdown /? Usage: shutdown [/i | /l | /s | /r | /g | /a | /p | /h | /e] [/f] [/m \\computer][/t xxx][/d [p|u:]xx:yy [/c "comment"]] No args Display help. This is the same as typing /?. /? Display help. This is the same as not typing any options. /i Display the graphical user interface (GUI). This must be the first option. /l Log off. This cannot be used with /m or /d options. /s Shutdown the computer. /r Shutdown and restart the computer. /g Shutdown and restart the computer. After the system is rebooted, restart any registered applications. /a Abort a system shutdown. This can only be used during the time-out period. /p Turn off the local computer with no time-out or warning. Can be used with /d and /f options. /h Hibernate the local computer. Can be used with the /f option. /e Document the reason for an unexpected shutdown of a computer. /m \\computer Specify the target computer. /t xxx Set the time-out period before shutdown to xxx seconds. The valid range is 0-600, with a default of 30. Using /t xxx implies the /f option. /c "comment" Comment on the reason for the restart or shutdown. Maximum of 512 characters allowed. /f Force running applications to close without forewarning users. /f is automatically set when used in conjunction with /t xxx. /d [p|u:]xx:yy Provide the reason for the restart or shutdown. p indicates that the restart or shutdown is planned. u indicates that the reason is user defined. if neither p nor u is specified the restart or shutdown is unpl anned. xx is the major reason number (positive integer less than 256). yy is the minor reason number (positive integer less than 65536). -
