Install applications... SP1
ricktendo replied to zedox's topic in Unattended Windows Vista/Server 2008
No, I have not found hot to use autounattended.xml to install my apps yet, I was just wondering why we needed to use both auto+unattened.xml -
Its like riding a bike the switch from nLite to vLite, you will see its easy to understand You can Rebuild 1 (Home Prem) or Rebuild All, but if you want to rebuild all it will not slipstream sp1 into all the versions. You have to do a session for each (which will take forever and may not fit onto a DVD so rebuild 1 IMO)

I am glad you guys decided to separate the program from the resources, this will take the burden off the programmers and focus it right where it needs to be...on the program BTW I do have a handful of resources that Vize does not patch that I use for myself (IDK if this will be helpful) http://www.qcom3.com/wincert02/Vize.7z And yes if XPize.net comes out with support for icon packs I might make a Vista icon one, already done it before OH and plz add Vize support for .SCR (screensaver) files Edit: What ever you do ppl dont edit user32.dll (system will not boot) or setupapi.dll (breaks windows sound) on Vista

Install applications... SP1
ricktendo replied to zedox's topic in Unattended Windows Vista/Server 2008
Why use the unattended.xml cant autounattended.xml do all this? -
The Resources can be gotten from other places including Vista, who needs Vista Pack for this
-
The %ProgramFiles% or spaces in path Vize bug (I think the KDE patcher has fixed this bug)
-
I could revise the Spanish LANG file if you want
-
w00t... cant wait, also a Longhorn version of Vize would be nice too
-
OEM info can be added using $oem$ folders and autounattended.xml You need to download WAIK and use "Windows System Image Manager" to open the Autounattended.xml created by vLite and add stuff to it
-
Thats Alky for Applications, it installs if you integrated the sidebar addon, it is used for patching Vista EXE, DLL and SCR files
-
Wouldn't it be possible to have Vize detect if Restorator or some other resource editor is installed and then use those for x64 resource editing? OH and why not separate the program from the resources, have like difrent IconPacks to choose from

If you install the wmp11 slipstreamer to the same dir as nLite you can then add the wmp11 installer and updates to the hotfixes section of nLite and it will run the slipstreamer unattendedly
