Hi, one small question: Do I still have to install the updates from page 1, when using the non-final SP2? Or are they already integrated? -
It updates the internal checksum dll. Run the following commands from cmd: expand syssetup.dl_ syssetup.dll PatchSysSetup.exe (Only if you didn't do before) modifype.exe syssetup.dll -c makecab syssetup.dll syssetup.dl_

I would like to know where WMP9 stores his settings. Because some of the settings aren't applied after installing XP unattended. For example: 1.I want MP3 @ 128kbps as default copy format NOT wma. 2.I want to deactivate the "monitor folders" function.

I just tried beta9, and it works great; NO errors! One question: why is the scrnsave.scr needed? Keep up the good work nuhi EDIT: Forgot one thing: will it be possible in a future release to select what printers drivers aren't removed? Because I use the XPdriver for my HP Deskjet 840C.

No, this is to disable the "Phone home" components from WMP, to disableautomatic updates, to disable XP from sending information to Microsoft without your knowledge and other stuff. -
Hi, I have found the command-line version of xp-AntiSpy3.72 http://www.xp-antispy.org/ I already have tested it in a UnattendedXP installation and it works great! (because it's version 3.72 not all functions from the version 3.81 are supported) This is what I did: 1.I wrote a little batch; xp-AntiSpy.cmd-> ---------------- Put this in the batch: ----------------------- xp-AntiSpy.exe -1 -2 -3 -4 -5 -6 -7 -8 -9 -10 -11 +12 -14 -15 -16 -17 -18 -19 -20 -21 -22 -24 -25 -27 -29 -31 -32 -34 -35 -36 -37 --------------------------------------------------------------- (I use the switches above, but you can use your own;typ xp-AntiSpy /? and you get a list of all available switches + explanation). 2.I created a shortcut that points to C:\Program Files\xp-AntiSpy\xp-AntiSpy.cmd -> here I put the command-line tool. (just copy your batch whereever you want, rightclick and choose create shortcut) 3.I created the Startup folder in C:\XPCD\$OEM$\$Docs$\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup -> here I put the shortcut. So the batch will be run the first time XP starts. 4.I put the batch and the command-line tool in C:\XPCD\$OEM$\$Progs$\xp-AntiSpy\. 5.I created a iso and tested it in VirtualPC. It's working!!! -DON'T forget to remove the link from startup or else the batch will be run every time you restart your computer!! P.S. You can leave the shortcut there so you can make sure that the XP spystuff is really turned off every time you start your computer; because sometimes those settings get reset by another application and thus turned on. P.S. You can check if everything works by using the "normal" xp-AntiSpy program. xp_Antispy_CmdLine.zip

I believe it tries to download updates, patches etc..I don't know if they can be saved. You can find links and descriptions tot the critical updates here: http://board.msfn.org/index.php?showtopic=8741 they are worth to include in your Unattended install

Okay, just removed some fonts and tested in VirtualPC: No problems! These fonts I kept: arial.ttf cga40woa.fon cga80woa.fon comic.ttf cour.ttf coure.fon dosapp.fon ega40woa.fon ega80woa.fon lucon.ttf marlett.ttf micross.ttf modern.fon roman.fon serife.fon smalle.fon sserife.fon symbol.ttf symbole.fon tahoma.ttf tahomabd.ttf times.ttf verdana.ttf vgafix.fon vgaoem.fon vgasys.fon webdings.ttf wingding.ttf wst_engl.fon I now only got 29 fonts, instead of 180!! on a normal (unattended) XP. -

All I know is that they are executed at the end of my main_batch.cmd, which itself is executed by winnt.sif.
