There are several out there that accomplish this, nLite, XPcreate, WPI and my UnattendXP They all do a lot of the things you describe. Way back when I started here there was nothing but scripts to do this but I think we're in the 20th century and not 3.1 day's. Its come a long way since then with the addition of all the app's above and I'm sure I'm missing something. Just look around.

Go into regedit and export a key, any key Now use that file you exported and delete all under Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 and paste your changes in it. Copy and reuse as you like. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 exports in Unicode and to use it you need an original file from there. The old Method title was REGEDIT4 and works as a text file and also works for most stuff importing but I have found a few keys won't import with it.

put MODIFYPE.EXE in same directory as the file then all you need is modifype.exe winntbbu.dll -c in a dos prompt

I used to use SCESP4I.EXE but your method works so I'm not arguing. Regshot, nope try something different I did use SCESP4I.EXE even with Unattend and it works, installing itself and moding several files. Who would have thunk it be as simple as changing one byte in a file.

A Floppy Controller card is really cheap if you have the slot. Of course the CD/DVD methods are much better.

A long time ago I tried every imaginable way to get runoncex to even Tile, I'd been happy with that back then because after say 15-18 app's it scroll's off screen. Not Good at all Nologic code will prevent that from happening. Not really, thats the beauty of mine. Its as simple as it gets, It even does the runoncex.cmd completely including splitting it in 2 pieces when you exceed say 15 app's if you prefer that method. A bit far for mine cause last was 60 applications for my Tests. But as you said, it will do all the advanced stuff also cause you can edit each file along the way as I open them in my "Dos Looking Editor"

I do both BoardBabe, work's for me with my UnattendXP app I found applying both makes it stick, sorta like the Quick Launch things I have and want Whatever make's it work...

They are only a mirror to what it's calling. They just do it differently and may add a Graphical User Interface to it. (GUI) dang I done went techno babble Anyway's, if you're limited and want or need more space and need something else then take a look around, you'll be surprised at what you willl find on MSFN

Well I definitely want your feedback, mine does a lot as does nLite, ? is where and which to use. Mine will copy CD, integrate the hotfixes as well as SP2 and add RyanVM and slipstream XPize. I'd like for you to do some testing and tell me at what point to stop either. My Guidelines now are run mine to copy CD You then have choice of nLite the Hotfixes and other stuff and then start mine again to add ALL your other stuff. Or either slip SP2, Hotfixes XPize with mine then nLite it. I don't use nLite cause what I have removes what i want removed. simple as that. I don't need CD reduction cause I'm either going to DVD or using a second partition or drive for my 3 GB Install folder.

He found it. Replying in my forum's. Its much easier to use this than doing years of work cause i been doing this app for 2 years nearly. It is for the easy way out and people been doing it a long time cause it has so much. nLite is not allway's the answer since it's major thing is removing. It can be used with my app though.

You can add all the stuff under each Section but it won't show like you're asking. RunOnceEx is limited and theres just no messing with it, I've tried. I'd suggest trying another of the programs like WPI or either my program. Give it a shot, can't hurt and as i have figured out RunOnceEx basically is for the bird's and theres so many MORE options out there.

sometimes just not possible.I modify the I386\HIVESFT.inf, search for SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Driver Signing replace with HKLM,"SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Driver Signing","Policy",0x00000001,00 I also add the reg entry here that run's with cmdlines in the GuiUnattended as DrvSign.cmd I don't know how this will affect the WPI, this will be applied to all. You could import that reg thing in cleanup.cmd or perhap's add a REG ADD that applies at next boot, I do that with bthe Fonts to open font folder to register fonts on reboot..

geezus simplest answer copy them over "XPCD\$OEM$\$$\Fonts" then just open the Fonts folder afterwards with a reg. Print #ff, "REM REGISTER FONTS" Print #ff, "REG ADD HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Runonce /V RegisterFonts /D " & Chr(34) & "%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e,/root,%systemroot%\Fonts" & Chr(34) I do that in Cleanup.cmd

Safest bet, if you doing Xp is to use the Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 I have applied a few things in the past and they did NOT import using REGEDIT4. I cannot explain so a word to the wise.

XPize_uAE_1_2.exe is to pre-patch your I386 and then So this means xpize_v3.2.exe can also patch the I386? Guess thats where my confusion comes from.No, I don't use nLite myself, but some do that also use my App Thats why I asked at what point I should set it up to patch the I386 because I have some removes and slipping Hotfixes also. xpize_v3.2.exe can be installed during setup as an application.. - I personally prefer this since it can be undone as you said and you get the Full features. I made my own autoit to pass the restore thing and also to tell it not to reboot.

Some of my members want me to add UAE to my UnattendXP app and I was wondering if you could tell me when I should do this? I don't use nLite and should I do it after Remove Components or before? Also doing Hotfixes and Remove Useless Folders so I'm guessing that maybe I need to do the UAE after all of the above?

Hmm I tried cmdinit.bat but no joy to do that. I'm not sure then a way to get it there. You could use that above and just click the C: drive and click Dos Here. I get C:\>
