  1. Easiest or no? Install them display drivers, lesss problem Alanoll I keep seeing this Search stuff, since I came here nearly a year ago or slightly longer I have discovered and have pointed it out many times that the Search for this Site is lacking somewhat. Is it my comp or what? I'm presently using Firefox and its no different from IE/Maxthon or whatever.
  2. You have to install your display drivers, I include that in my app. If you not TEXTMODE add the display driver at 001
  3. I think you need to run User.cmd at cmdlines.txt per the MSFN guide? [COMMANDS] "user.cmd" "RunOnceEx.cmd" EXIT Then User.cmd cmdow @ /HID NET USER "MyName" /add NET LOCALGROUP Administrators "MyName" /Add REM Autologon first boot REGEDIT /S %systemdrive%\Install\autologon.reg EXIT
  4. Thanks cause I need that since the 2000 machine is Scsi. I'll add it to my bootdisk. Point is I didn't need all that other stuff, this worked and got me out of a jam. Those extra options aren't normally on an NT machine. My Admin would have been severely PO'd at me. I am just wondering how it booted with Last Known Good Configuration - I didn't know NT would have that stored.
  5. prathapml Do you ever sleep? lol man Everytime I visit you on.
  6. Vel Straty said it Heres what I'm talking about Halfway across the screen, excuse me if I have old version but its latest I could find.
  7. Are you actually adding anything else to this unattend? Ok perhaps this is it FullUnattended During an attended Setup, improperly signed hardware drivers generate a warning dialog box. If UnattendMode = FullUnattended, then Setup does not install hardware drivers unless they are properly signed. Change To DefaultHide Specifies that answers in the answer file are defaults. Unlike UnattendMode = ProvideDefault, Setup does not display the user interface to end users if you specify in the answer file all the answers relating to a particular Setup page. With setting it to DriverSigningPolicy = Warn don't allways work Driver Signing- Policy to ignore edit Hivesft.inf like so; HKLM,"SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Driver Signing",,0x00000010 replace with HKLM,"SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Driver Signing","Policy",0x00000001,00 then in winnt.sif DriverSigningPolicy = Ignore Those are Microsoft driver's and certainly should be ok but wwo knows, I don't see anything else wrong.
  8. Thats ok some of us do that sometimes I cannot see anything wrong with your winnt.sif About the only suggestion I can see is change these things and try that, I am very curious to see if these things are interfering Change the x in FullName and OrgName to something else [userData] FullName="xxxxxxxx" OrgName="xxxxxxxx" Also add this to end of file. These are default entries in it. AreaCode= set to yours [TapiLocation] Dialing=Tone AreaCode=xxx [branding] BrandIEUsingUnattended=Yes [Proxy] Proxy_Enable=0 Use_Same_Proxy=1 [identification] JoinWorkgroup=WORKGROUP [Networking] InstallDefaultComponents=Yes Those are only differences I see in your's and mine, I have a few more entries than you. Also if you are just doing a plain install without the added things take a look here http://maxxpsoft.com/files/xpinstall.php?
  9. Then that answers your question, has to be something wrong in the winnt.sif. Paste it here in CODE blocks and we can see if we can figure it out.
  10. Not on mine and I do see the irbus.sys in the SP2.cab Don't know why its not copying over if its a necessary file for you. Something wrong there as in its not detecting whatever you have, perhaps an updated driver is needed? or something in your setup blocking it.
  11. OK looked through other source files and no mention only IrBus.sys located in expanded IrBus.inf
  12. I see the irclass.dll in txtsetup.sif irclass.dll is in my system32 folder. but dont see the irbus except an irbus.in_ which is .inf file in the I386 Are you sure this irbus.sys is not a file added by something else perhaps? By the way are you using something like nLIte to remove source files? If you are then you need to go post there and let him know and maybe he can fix By the Way i am looking at an I386 thats stripped of Useless Folders so it could have been in one of them but I don't see it mentioned in the important files that install everything.
  13. Take a look at the "ProgramsCache" below, after you change it that value changes. I've messed with it before but its been quite awhile and not sure if it act's properly. I hid one and that value HEX changed. The other is turning it on [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer] "EnableAutoTray"=dword:00000001 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StartPage] "ProgramsCache"
  14. Normally they not needed and are not copied during setup except you running MS-DOS-based programs in Windows XP. Theres a way to automatically do this with an unattended setup by using same commands below in your runoncEX.cmd Or either add them to the right pace in dosnet.inf to automatically add them... http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314106 open RUN command and type where G:\ is your CD expand -r G:\I386\Autoexec.nt_ %systemroot%\system32 expand -r G:\I386\Config.nt_ %systemroot%\system32 The others I don't know about
  15. What I would really like to see done to it In the Bookmarks please remove the "MSFN's Unattended XP CD" I'm glad ya'll made this and everyone knows where it came from, could you just shorten that up. Have to have that Bookmarks halfway across before you can see what it's pointing at. Hard to navigate it. Introduction Step 1 - Getting Started
  16. @Sn00f I found this here http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=8763&st=0 It talk about loading hivs with REG command or just type REG LOAD /? I haven't tried it so don't know.
  17. @mbressman you can only use [HKEY_CURRENT_USER at cmdlines.txt, remove other entries and add them later on. @^_^ MD "%userprofile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch"
  18. FLAMMIE http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/e...WFINF_Guide.doc Thats the Firewall inf doc, open ports is in it.
  19. But why is it major corporations use the IE? Perhaps its because they lock things down with policies, you're also going through their portal when surfing cause they block certain stuff. They use Novel where I work and that mess makes a good computer so slow. Ok I been using this Firefox since yesterday, it seems better than previous but it do have some bugs yet.
  20. Yes you can but have to strip out the Weekday date /t>DateNow.txt Returns Thu 11/25/2004 Or do it in a variable
  21. Command Prompt Syntax: date [mm-dd-yy] Try first date /?
  22. hehehe Might also discover as i have that everything don't work right in the VM's. Fought that for nearly 6 months and discovered it works like intended in the actual. Just a thought.
  23. "Can I get a Job - You really need me to destruction proof your stuff - all of it" Regardless of what people have to say about him he was sucessful and I admire him for that. Squash your competitor's and make your stuff dominant. Gotta admire his buisness sense. Just wish I had about 100,000 shares right now. :
  24. No actually I'm not, I am a responsible user and I know and I mean know what goes on in my PC cause I keep up on all this stuff, it don't happen unless I know it. If I miss it then at least next day I will see a difference in something. I've been the only danger to my comp since I started using with my own experiments. I'll even experiment with blocking .jpgs with certain code on my own. I keep backups and am extra vigilante against things going in and out. I'm not a chicken going to run scared every time I hear this stuff man, thats all there is to it.The problem is the unknowing users out there that by far outweigh everyone else. They probably read a passing headline about this and have no clue WT heck that means. Nope this Firefox 1.0 just don't match up. The graphic's just aren't there yet but it is a lot better than the 0.8. Thats the reason I gave up Linux cause it sucked at graphic's. Also reason I dropped Mozilla for the Maxthon. They'll get better in time and I may switch then. My Gawd man, Look at the other links on that page, it even has a Winamp flaw on security. You gonna delete Winamp also ????????????????????? Oh yeah someone gonna pipe back and say they use so and so because of that, save it, heard it before. You're exactly right on that one. They ought to hire me at about a million a year to destroy their stuff for testing.... EGADS: Just trying to paste something and add Quotes around it this Firefox failed, hmmm
