Updates still not working here, running W7 x86 running Customizer.exe as Admin. Regardless if I install one update or several they do not inject into the wim. I proved this by opening up the install.wim with windows 7 wsim & sure enough no updates found. When I press the apply button programs executes & closes promptly saying it's finished? See the cust. log attached. I do hope you can iron these bugs out cause W7 is proving to be a tricky UA installing updates & injecting drivers into the wim. I put this down mainly to elevated permissions.

Not sure if it can be done, would like this myself. Same as XP.

No worries, the Autologon sections are identical to the Vista UA values which are covered in depth on this board.

See the relevant section of my xml auto logon, admin group. BTW don't post your product key... Hope that helps.

Thanks MC, someone finally said they done it. I get those permission things in 7 also. Some say they don't get that on x86. What are you running? My box is 64 able though running x86.

Could you provide more info? Once I press the "apply" button the program quickly gives a progress "Done" button. Image not mounted or touched.

DL the latest release found paths ok, lang ok, picked up the updates one @ a time ok. Hit apply but prog doesn't seem to mount the image & done appears?

@ thewalrus What your describing is how the program works, all check boxes @ least most require propagation before it will progress. I have used the program & successfully produced a fully working W7 UA dvd. Only few problems had were unsigned drivers not injecting & Dism refusing to commit the image a few times. I put this down to permissions in W7. Good luck with it.

Just tried would only allow single msu & not multiple? Also received below screen error when applying.

Just DL your tool, running on W7 x86 can multiple updates be managed or single only?

All good now Max, just have some problems with the driver integration, I backed up all my running Vista/Wind seven x 86 drivers but DISM seems to reject them. Will interrogate the log.

Sorry Max I'm obviously not clear with my Q's, I haven't got the APPS dir in the root though is it possible not to include installing apps, addons etc?

I can see this is a good app, but cannot get past the addon or driver integration step, finding the app wants to unmount & commit the image by itself. Also is it normal to have to restart the app @ each stage?

Hi Max First time have used your app for seven. Doesn't appear that I can skip any steps after mounting an image, eg must first select an addon then drivers, then apps etc. Is it @ all possible to select say only addons, drivers & hotfixes only for instance?

No reason you can't use the xml I uploaded & propagate the fields that are missing or empty with the WSIM. Yes mine is an x86 version.

Thanks Max found that on the net the other day, but nice to have it here. Would be a handy tweak to have in UA if @ all possible?

If it's of use see my xml attached only needs minor info inserted to some fields for full operation.

Just checked yours against mine & can't really see a problem @ all? Mine does exactly as you say. Maybe run your xml through the wsim for an error check. Also how are you testing your install, maybe redo the image again before testing or burning. Hope you sort it.

Maybe ask Mhz if he hasn't already look @ this thread.

Not that I'm aware of. Pretty simple to use a pre made Vista one & only small amount of changes for it to work correctly in seven. Why not look in the UA seven section of this board??
