  1. I can only see one instance in mine? As mentioned previously was a corrupted wim, now good & xml seems to work great!
  2. Hey Guys DL a copy of W8 x64 ent edition & testing in virtual box, W8 boots fine & gets to the start up screen ok. When it interrogates my xml it then errors out "setup cannot find image" I know there's a single image & is "image 1" Have attached my revamped xml of windows 7 that should be ok? Any pointers are muchly appreciated.
  3. Thanks Steven for keeping this updated, really appreciate it.
  4. Wondering if anyone maybe in Oz that has installed Account Right Basics 2011 & able to install silently from an admin install? I have previously & successfully installed earlier versions of MYOB though having problems with this one. Once I perform the admin/network extraction can have it install silently though does not produce any shortcuts either in programs list or desktop? It does show on installed programs. when I run manually & try to update it says it aint installed?? Any pointers are appreciated
  5. Hi Coucou I believe you can manipulate the files. I have tried his new release once though still having some issues! Will start fresh with another source to test.
  6. The catalogue file that WSIM verifies when you use Waik is not necessary to be updated nor changed for windows to install successfully! Sure it may need updating or error using WSIM but won't affect an install on a Virtual machine.
  7. Sourced from elsewhere though works well in W7 x86 & 64 bit. 1. Get a computer that has the wireless lan configurations 2. run this command (may need to be admin): netsh wlan export profile folder="PATH_TO_FOLDER" name=PROFILENAME 3. That created an XML file 4. Create a batch file 5. type this into the batch file: netsh wlan add profile filename="\XMLFILE.XML" user=all 6. Edit the XML file: Where it says <protected> </protected> change it to say <protected>false</protected> and put the key between the <keyMaterial>ENTER YOUR KEY HERE</keyMaterial> 7. Make sure you put into the post installation command to run the batch file that you created (i.e. c:\wirelesslan\RUNME.BAT) Hope this helps?
  8. I've never bothered creating an updated (or unattended for that matter -- not doing enough installs for it to be worthwhile) Win7 DVD yet but this makes it seem like a piece of cake. If that's all of it then it should be extremely simple to automate the entire process. I guess the main part of the job is to always have an current list of updates but that could be automated as well using the Windows Update Agent. I'm not sure how reliable that is but worst case scenarios there's others who are already putting in the effort to maintain lists here... I generally update every quarter & run my last UA image on VM to list the available patches. I then use WUD with the lates UL file from this forum to download the necessary fixes. Then simply use Max's utility to mount the wim & update with the fixes. Unmount & save ready for test.
  9. Yes Max been using your nifty addition for quite some time now, very good time saver. Thanks.
  10. I have since contacted Pete the maker of RUFUS & He said will update his version for W7 to similar as per his fix for XP using the prog on USB. When done this will be so useful! The install time on a stripped down version of W7 X64 will be considerably quicker by USB than DVD. can't wait.
  11. Certainly no pro though have been a member here for quite some time & also @ the CD forum, member EKIM testing in the early days Barts PE bootable discs & more recently here doing Unattended installs. Just looking for something more satisfactory than a 25 year old CD or 15 year old DVD as an install media! USB being so small & soo cheap now seems the logical alternative. Have looked @ a all in one USB utility to boot & install windows, have it working to a point but would prefer a fully comprehensive unattended solution.
  12. Also having this problem requiring to remove the stick @ each reboot. Tried moving the bootfix.bin file to the stick but the file seems to be identical anyhow? Still does not work. Anyone had any joy with this?? I'm using the RUFUS usb program & find it excellent bar the above. Would much prefer to use usb for my installs now as they are growing too much with apps to DVD install.
  13. Hi Max Not frequented here in a while, thanks for your post have picked up some minor points missing in my UA I also adapted your right click install.wim for my purposes, very handy addition.
