  1. Exactly. Therefore, doing the kind of hacks as in phpBB..... dunno. That forum software has been GODDAMN slow, so it needs such hacks whereas Invision is very fast already. What's there to be done?Invisionboard already does it. Most elements are already downloaded and shown from cache on Opera for me here. On a VERY slow connection, MSFN forum pages take an average of 2 seconds to load, no matter how heavy or whichever page (and I have set 30 posts/page). That's DEFINITELY because all elements of the page are already in my cache, its only the dynamic part being downloaded when requested. Here's a replay: MSFN + Invisionboard + Opera = 2 seconds page-loading time!
  2. @usmc-ratman All you want is a right-click option to "Close" the CD tray instead of "Eject" it, isnt it? Here's a simple solution - LINK . Hoping this helps.... It's been posted a million times before.. try doing a search. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe its not been posted previously..... I haven't seen it before, over here. Maybe you're referring to the code that checks if a file exists or not in the root of CD..... that's mostly for confirming WHICH CD is present in the drive, than WHETHER its present. @Fredledingue I guess some WMI query exists, to tell whether a CD is in drive or not. Hoping someone else would know more...
  3. Doh! Their forums cant be of much help coz this is not an opera problem. The problem is with the coding of the site. As said above, the guide's pages are non-standards compliant, as in they don't have a DOCTYPE declaration.
  4. Errr.... Is it what i think it is?Please explain. does Nanaki's installer fix this bug? ----- LINK
  5. I gat you a possible solution from Opera Mailing lists:
  6. Thanks Tarun, and also topic renamed since it seemed to have got out-of-sync with contents.
  7. Your back-space issue and CMD colors may not be related to each other at all. Try checking if you apply something ELSE at the same time. I apply both text color and window/title color in uA, and its fine. And on seeing your post, I tried doing it manually, and still its fine.
  8. No need to shout or yell. Please click the link to forum etiquette in my signature and read it.
  9. 'Tis Good to hear that it worked fine Also, I hope krwilson solved his WPI problem as well. I'm not sure how to have two actions carried out from one item check-box, but you could just check in the WPI forum about how to do that.
  10. rofl! And then see how fast it runs.... (I think that's what he means)

  12. No idea why it happens for you. The google ads are positioned below for me... My spec: Version information Version 8.0 Build 7561Are you using User CSS or JS? If so, then maybe what you describe _might_ happen.
  13. Well, the platinum features I don't even need. Gmail is big, featureful, well-backed, and unlimited. I'll stick with it

  15. Turns out that he did not actually swim over. The entire thing of course was just fun, something which got publicized without the CEO knowing of it....
  16. The MSI was an older version..... even if you find it, using it may not be a good idea! For WPI, you might be able to have the regtweak as an option (with regedit /S).
  17. Hi, yes this is the correct section. And for the MSI, its not a separate download anywhere.... There _was_ the MSI version previously. But now, I take it that you got the 147 KB downlad from here - MS LINK I do it this way: 1. Extract from the setup file, using winrar. 2. Place "TweakUI.exe" in the System32 folder. (if you're doing it unattended, then the easiest way to do step2 is to put the file in "$OEM$\$$\System32\" folder tree, and it will get copied over to the right place.) 3. Now we need a way to call it, some sort of a "hook" into the UI. So use the below registry tweak: ;Show TweakUI at Control Panel [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C17}] @="TweakUI XP" "InfoTip"="Starts the TweakUI program which, allows you to customize advanced options and Settings in Windows to your liking" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C17}\DefaultIcon] @="%SystemRoot%\\\\System32\\\\tweakui.exe,0" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C17}\Shell\Open\command] @="tweakui.exe" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C17}\ShellFolder] "Attributes"=dword:00000030 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ControlPanel\NameSpace\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C17}] @="Tweak UI Do post back on how it worked, and whether you have any further queries.....
  18. 1. Please read the STICKIES atleast in a forum, before posting. 2. Re-posting is NEVER a good idea, as the topic will be ignored in both the original and the re-posted location. You can always PM a mod to move your post, if it has mistakenly been posted to the wrong section. double post

  23. I believe there's ways to get it to pick only the first 2 characters of the path, so that you can add the rest of the folders.....And also, if you did need to run setups from CD, then why won't %CD% (with ..\..\ and such, for parent dirs) do it better?
  24. But even then just PM'ing a mod to move it would have been better.....Please see the link "Forum Etiquette" in my sig, or click this LINK and see #5.
