Mazin's post above proves what is being said about retail CDs being able to go the entire way, unattended. (that's one of the reasons to go retail, and the proof as well) Also, no one has any intentions of taunting anybody here. No one is forcing you to not use OEM CDs - you may do exactly as you like. Its honest facts and opinions are all you see on this thread.

You can use the Acronis tools through EasyBoot as well as CDshell (which is what you may be currently using). Those acronis stuff........ They deliberately made it difficult, **** those people...... Anyways, there's lots of topics here in the forums regarding how to put an acronis tool on your CD/DVD. Searching gave 6 results.

@newdles I remember what you are talking about - and used it even yesterday.... Well, I have the installer with me - I don't exactly know the size but it was like 20 MB, I suppose. I also remember the WMP7 bonus pack - some "Audio Convertor LE" or something was in it as well..... I use that one with Windows ME. I agree.Could anyone explain why you are using the "/Q:A /R:N" switch TWICE in the command-line? I haven't tried the MP10 unattended yet. But after a normal install, WMP10 rocks!

You could use "sleep.exe" (get it from the unattended guide site) inserted at the right point in the .CMD maybe? (or am I mis-understanding what you are trying to do here) Or use VBS which allows such things easily?

I don't think the svcpack.inf is different in SP2 from previous versions.... Anyways, here it is attached - SVCPACK.IN_ taken from I386 of WinXP Professional SP2. SVCPACK.IN_

Ha ha...... I read this topic, and an idea sprang up - you can try it, no guarantees it will work: Is there an import/export DLL somewhere for the BMP format? Maybe if you delete that, paint will default to some other format.

What the hell............ YEAH! The direct download from MS website of .NET framework 1.1 seems to be updated. Maybe it already has SP1 in it. Notice the "date published" here - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&DisplayLang=en. It was previously not march 2004, it was like august 2003 or something..... (I may be wrong, though) Gonna check on this today.

The problem could also be that the product key you entered in winnt.sif is wrong.

The msbatch.inf has a property to enter your CD key. Make that file first.... And then place it in the win98 CABs folder. And start setup.

If you run it (the same command) in normal mode from a command prompt, does it install fine? Also, it looks like you missed out on the initial "/S" in your switches. Another option is to make an admin-install of dk8, then install from there - run the setup from command prompt with "/A" switch.

I'm right here - been following this...... But I seriously don't have the time to test it right now - all the best to you ppl for testing and fixing bugs. I'll have maybe 1-2 months till I re-make my uA CD. That's when I probably will move to v2.00 from 1.00.
