That is right here on the Registry Tweaks thread as well. Also, there's nothing to be afraid of about the Accessibility options coming up - just an irritant, that's all.

@SiMoNsAyS Look into the email address you gave above - enjoy the gmail invitation. (and edit that post of yours to remove the email address - to prevent spamming) EDIT: Your mailbox bounces the email - sent the same again thru PM. @tiredoflogins I suppose the auctions still are going, although not nearly at as high rates as Astalavista said. I'd say auction as many invites as you want, but try to give invites away freely here as well.

Exactly! The older versions do not support many newer drives, and lots of features you are used to may not work the same way.

Office Shrinker [reduce source of o2k3/xp/2k]
prathapml replied to buckeyeXP's topic in Microsoft Office
This looks like something which has been fixed for many people while trouble-shooting. Some small things which need to be noted.... Please try reading all the pages of this thread. Hoping you'd find what caused that error. Do post back on how it goes. -
.NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack
prathapml replied to OutTrendz's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Using WinRAR 3.3 best compression with no solid archive and with SFX module: 56.2 MB before compession 12.2 MB after. If you are getting it significantly larger (I think 12.3 is OK, but 17.x is too much), then you need to check if you did the steps right. -
How to slip-stream the SP1 can be found here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?act=ST&f=70&t=26304

.NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack
prathapml replied to OutTrendz's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
It works fine from cmdlines, don't know about svcpack....... Also, I agree about the temp extraction being a bit quirky - I get it to extract to "%systemdrive%\install\dotnet\" because anyway I have a command at the end of my batch-files to delete the "%systemdrive%\install\" directory. -
You need to use the "OEMPnpDriversPath" method, found here: http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/drivers.htm. If in doubt about how to go about it, try reading the guide from the beginning - http://unattended.msfn.org.

@tuxman You have been sent an invite to the address you provided. Register and enjoy (all details right there) your Gmail!

.NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack
prathapml replied to OutTrendz's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Well its been posted precisely because of some testing on the part of some people, and that they trust you would know to fix any small problems you'd encounter along the way. If you find it too difficult to follow/implement, I'd recommend downloading RyanVM's package (RAR, already slip-streamed). All the best for carrying it out, and post back on any problems you might encounter (with full DETAILS), and solutions for them (if you yourself discover what the solution is). -
Well, its possible to trim the nero setup to exactly the way you want it - see this thread here: nero 6.3.1.20

If you have the [shell] section in your winnt.sif, it might make changes like the one described above. The solution is to remove it - all Visual settings will be kept at defaults.

Make a post in this thread saying that you want a gmail invite. Then one of the persons who still have invites to give-away will contact you through PM - give them your e-mail address. Then, they send you an invite at the address you provided, and also post on this thread that "user_name" has been sent an invite. You then follow the instructions and the link in your gmail invite which has come as a mail to your current e-mail address to register a gmail account. That's it - you're on the Gmail bandwagon!

Has someone heard "Free Virtual PC Software"?
prathapml replied to argon007's topic in Software Hangout
BOCHS is seriously sick - too slow and buggy to be of any real use. I'd prefer VMware anyday, especially since VMware has binaries for windows as well as linux. -
Calling everybody's attention to this poll-only topic: The poll topic Do vote there about your Gmail participation!
-
Hi everybody, This poll is in relation with the Gmail invites thread here. It would be good to know the general Gmail profile of the majority of the people who frequent here. Do vote! This is a poll-only topic - all discussion in the other thread (linked above) please.

First make an Administrative Install Point of the framework (all instructions on page1 of this thread). -
MPSetup.exe /q:A /c:"setup_wm.exe /Q:A /R:N /P:#e"

@bonedaddy Please PM me your e-mail address - you will receive your gmail invite at that address. EDIT: Invite sent, enjoy Gmail!

.NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack

Same here! Let's see if somebody comes up with a solution. :whistle So I do the same - getting the SFX to extract to HD, and then start setup! -
Nice of you to offer invites as well, drew! So I guess more and more ppl are noting this line in one of my first posts on this thread: Now, how many posts would that criteria translate to? Here's an open guide-line to all of those who are giving out gmail invites on the board: 1. Give out invites only to those who ask for it in the thread. 2. Do not give invites to those who contact you only by PM (post here+ PM is okay). 3. Post here as to which of the requests for invites you have fulfilled (i.e., who have been sent invites?).
-
Nice idea there. BTW, I've sent a (supposedly) spam e-mail to his address saying I'd drive a truck through the mail-box the next time......

Did anyone else notice that Mozilla.org seems to have experienced a complete overhaul? Its been re-designed, (cavendish theme) and is looking more organized now - noticed it a few minutes ago.

about the IPB forum software
prathapml replied to prathapml's topic in Web Development (HTML, Java, PHP, ASP, XML, etc.)
LOL no, don't confuse yourself across different threads dude.... Here's an explanation: I always "print" (in fact, save as HTML after getting the printable version) useful topics to read them offline and on PCs that don't have access to the internet. That way, the ads are not shown either . Now since a long time, whenever I went to those XXL size threads, I'd face the problem of having to save each individual page beyond 300 posts. So I kept on mentioning that in those pages (try searching my posts in the XPinstall thread, LOL). I was told at that time, that it was a defect in IPB itself. Hence, I hoped that the next version would remove that limitation, and posted that hope here. xper saw my request to be able to print more than 300 posts and enabled printing/saving upto 1000 posts. Which I announced here. In all of this, my own IPboard is not involved in any way. That thread is a different one, simply asking as many people as possible to check out IPB 2.0 in action at my friend's site, and register there. There's no connection between this thread (about what new features IPB 2.0 can bring to MSFN) and my other "check out this forum" thread (about IPB 2.0 being in action there). Now its clear? (this post was deliberately "lumped-up" so that its read only by who REALLY wants to) -
Its not been of use ever since we outgrew win98 emergency boot-disks. Not everybody needs it, and not everybody wants it - and it saves on a fair bit of space, so I don't keep it. Also, you can just put your bootable floppy and make a boot image from it and use that as your boot-sector if you so want.
