yeah see, that is what I don't get. It works fine on this computer, and on that computer previously. Anyway I gave up and reformatted again. I'll just wait until IE 7 is final before reinstalling it on that machine.
-
As I already said, I uninstalled both XPize and IE 7 but that didn't work. I did search but all I found was topics saying not to use IE 7, nothing on how to fix an issue. Which is a bit late now, after I have the problem. If upgraded system software is going to cause problems, maybe you should add a check for system files versions before trying to "XPize" them
-
I had IE 7 Beta 2 installed, and then installed XPize. From then on IE stopped working (clicking favourites, entering addresses etc does nothing) uninstalling both XPize and IE 7 does not fix the problem. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this, short of reinstalling Windows as I have only just finished that and really don't want to do that again.
-
OK maybe I've missed something it runs but when I run media player after install its v9 o_O
-
Yes I have the variable set thats why everything else installs fine I'll try your changes
-
nope that didn't work for photoshop running the setup.exe from the run box d:\SOFTWARE\Photoshop\Setup.exe does it but REG ADD %KEY%\160 /VE /D "Adobe Photoshop 7" /f REG ADD %KEY%\160 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%\SOFTWARE\Photoshop\Setup.exe" /f doesn't
-
oops, didn't have the /S will try that and ignore the acrobat problem I'm an idoit

I have my DVD finally working 95% taken a few weeks anyway I have a couple of problems which I can't solve Acrobat reader: Using %CDROM%\SOFTWARE\AdbeRdr60_enu_full.exe -p"-s /v\"/qn\"" to install, it installs but not start menu short cut is created, not a big problem just a little annoying Power archiver: Using the following reg file to register the software But no matter when I do it the software isn't registered, if I run it after first running powerarchiver it works, so does someone know what I've missed out? can someone please upload svcpack.in_ from SP2 for me? I deleted it a few days ago because I was using svcpack.inf but since that doesn't work correctly on a dual install DVD I removed it, but not setup gives me an error abou svcpack.inf not existing. I could download SP2 again and extract it, just thought I'd ask here first hopefully someone would be kind enough to supply it
-
Doesn't work :|
-
thanks will try that should svcpack.inf be in the PRO1/PRO2 folder or not?
-
I'm having this problem as well, have you solved it yet? I'm gonna place the svcpack.inf file in the PRO1 and PRO2 folder to see if that makes a difference, I'll let you know how it turns out

NM I found a handy guide, on this very site, guess I wasn't searching enough

Just realised this is in the wrong forum
