@scorpy and buletov Please refrain from off-topic talk. This thread was about the winamp MSI!

Here's how to remove the "Analog Display" menu from the right-click: Also saw this:

An ISS will be good for any PC you choose to install on, and other PCs too.

Well, it doesn't pop up the shortcut folder during unattended setup. It seems to know that it should not..... Naah... Since explorer.exe isn't running at T-12, and at GUIrunOnce, the shortcut folder opening won't happen at all. The guide page for winrar. BTW, winrar is now at version 3.40 - it has come far from 3.00, its recommended to upgrade.

nLite which is found right here at MSFN forums, can do this driver integration.

@DTM ok, so now we know what error it is showing. That's good. These two lines here: DotNetOptionalInstallIfSilent=N MsiVersion=2.0.2600.0Those lines have me thinking that maybe this application needs WindowsXP SP1 or higher, and the .NET framework to be installed. You could download/install those (follow the links in the previous sentence), and try the setup again. That might possibly be the reason - because, if you remember, Norton Ghost 9 needed the .NET stuff, to install and run properly. Another thing, please edit your previous post - put the contents of the setup.ini within a [code ] tag (like in this post above). Otherwise, it becomes difficult to tell the difference between code content and your own words.

Yes, an AIP direct-from-MSI install should work properly if all went well. Did the AIP get created properly, without any errors? If so, then just go into the folder where you told it to put the files, and run the MSI with "/QB" switch. Do post back, on whether it succeeds or whether there's still errors.
-
@r4v3n Please check if "/A" works (details in previous post).

install.exe can be deleted - just use the MSI to install the .NET 1.1, and the langpack. I don't know about "inst.exe". I'm sure both these being deleted will still not help by much - only 100 KB off. So if its not a desperate need to save every KB you can, it'd be best to keep those files.

Its a matter of personal preference to use which tool you want for theming, boot-screen, etc. Most of such apps are discussed here, searching would help. About solving the slowness, try ending the process (see in task manager) which is eating up all the CPU cycles. Also, see if uninstalling object desktop brings your CPU usage back to normal - if so, then you know that the problem is caused by object desktop.

Ha ha... You can conclude that no one got this holiday. Anyways, the link was alarming. Visiting it (now calm) revealed that they refer to REAL "pirates" - ones of the old time. Pirate ships, high seas, skull flags, and all that - remember the movies?

how to scan for viruses using NAV as a boot CD....

Sorry, now I've edited my previous post and made it more detailed. That doing what you want, is no doubt possible as you can see. All the best, in your quest! -
I voted yes. Coming from India. Favourite team - Australia Favourite Player - Sachin Tendulkar --------------- Australia are playing wonderfully. Literally a clinical decimation of opposition. Good balance of batting and bowling. And Sachin, of course he's known across all cricketing nations. Sad though, that his injury had to make him sit out of the ICC official tournament. These are the countries that have full-fledged cricket teams and are participating in the championship - England, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, West Indies, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Kenya. These countries have amateur/part-time teams - Scotland, Netherlands, US, maybe more.

Considering that a lot of people here come from cricket-playing regions of the world.... You know that the ICC Champions Trophy 2004 (one-dayer matches) is being contested in England (10th to 25th September). So how many of people here are following (I mean, playing it or keeping track of what happens or having an interest in it...) the game internationally? If you do like cricket, then tell which team you like, and your favourite player! Vote in the poll as well.

Been happy with my MSI (nVidia)- 1. Good quality 2. Good service and quick response to support/replacement calls 3. Never seen anyone with an MSI card saying it was a bad card 4. Good driver support and updates 5. Well documented manual 6. Wide availability at a range of price-points Pretty much all (even new) games play fine on my (year old) gfx card, so draw your inferences.

Go here if you want to see more screenshots - http://winsupersite.com/. Also, this is quite an old thread, where the thread-starter has already found the information he/she needs. Avoid re-activating such topics.

You need to PM an admin, for this. Posting personal account matters in the forums is not of any use, since forums are used for public discussion. -
Well, it does look nice. Please use the [code ] blocks when you want to indicate code, otherwise, its difficult to read such a lot of code.
-
The requirements only say winXP needed - no compulsion of installing SP2 - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsme...p10/readme.aspx.

NAV2005 rocks, but it seems to need pretty much everything in place, without being removed (to work perfectly). I'd be surprised if it works at all, after removing ANY component.

Yes, opera is the way to go, for the purpose you describe. You can set your own style-sheet to over-ride the web-page author's (in places where the two clash, otherwise it will use the original CSS to the max. extent possible). And in that set the bgcolor property.

how to scan for viruses using NAV as a boot CD....
prathapml replied to ceez's topic in Malware Prevention and Security
Right. One work-around that I use: 1. Get NTFS dos (or better, NTFSdos Pro from winternals, commercial). 2. Get WinImage (google for download, its shareware), to modify floppy-images. 3. Make an ISO CD-image of the CD, onto your HDD, using UltraISO or similar tool. 4. Extract the boot-sector from the ISO, using ultraiso. 5. Open that boot-sector in WinImage, and modify the contents to include the NTFSdos. 6. Also, edit autoexec.bat to run NTFSdos with appropriate switches, before running the NAV scanner. 7. Save the files in the boot-sector. Modify the ISO (using ultraISO) to use the new modified boot-sector. 8. Now save the ISO to be a bootable CD-image (ISO). 9. Burn it to CD-RW and test (since the first time is always trial-and-error basis). So now even your NTFS partitions are mounted and scanned, enjoy! -
I'm sure he'd be happy to, but since we don't know korean very much here... Maybe if you or some other korean developer pitches in...

UPDATE: The command you're currently running - it causes setup to run, but setup fails. Since we don't want it to fail silently, (atleast knowing WHAT error is being caused would help) the below switch. So, could you please use the "/S /v/qb" switch (note the capital "S") and tell what the error in dialog-box is? Its very much possible that the solution is as simple as some file is missing or corrupted, and so couldn't be copied during install. If even that doesn't work, use setup.exe with "/A" switch and tell us whether its able to successfully complete making an administrative install point. If the AIP is created fine, then we can discuss the next step. {LOL, ok mazin, don't laugh, you know my fad for AIP's here }
