  1. I'd say a major portion of why it is occupying 1.7 GB is your hibernate and swap-file. You can configure those to eliminate it, let's see if nuhi adds that feature to nLite. My nLite'd install, (without losing functionality) is approx 550 MB (on the hard-disk) after install. So you can certainly reduce it from the level it is for you (1.7 GB is too much!).
  2. Its also possible that the key is located in sysprep.inf BTW, He doesn't need the wpa.dbl ! His CDs have SLP activation. So all he needs to do, is have a different key for each PC - which is problematic since that would need multiple CDs for install. Just manually change the key with jelly-bean!
  3. Yes, gape did say that integrating it was possible. But I haven't got round to trying it yet. I'm interested in knowing how its done too.
  4. @XPero Well, calm down. Maybe its just the fact that it is impossible (or requires too much effort) that is making the others say so. Don't take comments too seriously! If there's someone who knows how (what you asked) it can be done, they'd post - until then, just stick with today's winrar.
  5. Huh? Please make your question clearer! Are you looking for classic theme, or login or start-up logo or what bmp? Well, probably you are looking for this: Open "C:\WINDOWS\system32\msgina.dll" in resource hacker, and navigate to Bitmap > 107 > 1033 Was that what you wanted ?
  6. Yeah, check out the win98SE (unofficial) Service Pack, which has a forum right here.
  7. As tguy said, add your icons here: ..\XPCD\$OEM$\$Docs\Default User\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch That does work. If it is not showing up, then check whether your batch-files have a command that cleans out the shortcuts in quick-launch and desktop.
  8. No, that info is only with your ISP - who will only submit that info if there's a court summons.
  9. If you're outside of the US and western europe, it seems to be of not much use.
  10. Ha ha.... Yes, that is an irritant while pre-doing user files. One solution is as andrewpayne said. And to add to that, some folders (such as the quick-launch, etc.) are not taken from All Users profile. So you can instead use the Default user profile, for such files, for example: $OEM$\$Docs\Default User\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch But another way would be to make a RAR SFX that silently extracts to %userprofile% folder. (is easier)
  11. Key is only working 5 times? Looks like an Action Pack subscription (not OEM) to me! What you could do, is to: 1. get the keys using key-finder (as suggested above). 2. Then, when installing, confirm that the network cable is dis-connected. 3. Now change the key, so that it can activate using its own key. Run command: %systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /A4. So now, you won't have multiple PCs using the same key (so problem solved?). EDIT: Noticed that the keyfinder itself allows you to change key, so above command may not be needed.
  12. Cool it you all! @Adiel What do you want? Just to create a user called "Adiel" (with admin privileges) and auto-login with that user-name, right? Let's keep it simple - dump any of the registry tweak/winnt.sif/batch-file portions that deal with user creation/login. Then, do the below: 1. In notepad, paste the below text: [UserInfo] Identity001="Adiel"2. Save it as "oobeinfo.ini" (it should *NOT* have .txt extension). 3. Put that file in your uA CD in this folder structure: $OEM$\$$\System32\OOBE\oobeinfo.ini 4. That's it, create your ISO (or CD) and test it. You can do a lot more with oobeinfo.ini, try searching for it. PSHAW!!!!!! The unattended CD official guide really needs to have a revamp with this method instead. Its simpler for starting out.
  13. Yeah, not everybody seems to be able to get it to work. Using the original installer and switches is a waste of time with thunderbird/firefox. Check out the link in my previous post for an easier way to install thunderbird.
  14. what is the problem about?
  15. @buckeyeXP Maybe another version of this auto-It script is needed. Or an open release of the script-source. Reason: To be able to slim-down frontpage, visio, project, onenote, and so on. Currently, doing so is not possible, since it only supports the window-title for the base Office package.
  16. Nice to see yet another person benefited from the site. Good luck to you too, x00783. And never hang-up your boots (I mean don't stop further updating of your CD). Because new versions and updates and novelties are constantly showing up every single day!
  17. fixed now.Well all I bother to rip, is Audio CDs that I buy myself (and its been some time since the last time that happened ) - and I let my player (which is anyway already installed) do that job! Winamp 5.x rules! (did not vote, since winamp was not on the poll )
  18. Well, kenedy was saying so humorously, I guess. But even in a serious vein, this one's got to be simply the Q asked the most number of times - your search must have done something strange to not turn up the answer. Anyways, the solution is seen now, and all the best for your CD. And finally, posting your key publicly is a bad idea (edited out now).
  19. @Astalavista I agree. MusicMatch was my fave for ripping CDs and converting from audio-tapes to MP3. (not now, since I started liking winamp 5.x better) Whatcha mean? They been saying that since a lot of time now, but it still hasn't died and I hope never dies. To be realistic, the root of the current problems at AOL-winamp is the exit of one of the lead devs.Lastly, is there any reason this topic was posted in "Unattended --> Application Switches" ? Coz nothing related to such a classification seems to be here! Anyways, unattending v5.06 is still gonna be the same method as older ones:
  20. Anymore confirmations? 'Coz $Docs still ain't working here. (I can confirm it for you, that XP pro, with *EXACTLY* all the same modificatios as my XP home is able to process the $docs folder) $Docs on XP home!
  21. WHEW! Had a good laugh? Here's a kill-joy folks - the topic is renamed, so " which is the best wen hoster ?" becomes "which is the best web hoster ?"
  22. The quotes around the path_to_file :"%ProgramFiles%\any\any.inf" -becomes- %ProgramFiles%\any\any.inf @RyanVM Okay, I'll test the 2nd INF. BTW, there were a few additions to be made to the INF, and a few corrections to be done to the <Add to start-menu> part. Do come on IM to clear those out.
  23. Well the news snippet says that MS has almost a department taking care of these mails. Lets hope it begins to hurt the bottom-line - then he would pink-slip them and do something to take care of the PITA called spam!
