  3. Hi I have a problem on a few laptops running win7 ultimate after domain joining the machine it takes an age to login even disconnected using a cached profile Many thanks in advance
  4. What media do you have when installing Windows back onto the machine? Also it sounds like the Recovery Partition has been removed thats why the F11 option usualy disapears
  5. This is normal for the first time you run IE 7 or 8 you just need to save the default settings and it will not come back up again
  6. Right click the desktop the go to view then is the option show desktop icons ticked if not tick it???

  9. I see the sence in using a Hardware firewall and a software firewall but in this instance it is 2 software firewalls I myself use a software firewall backed up with a hardware firewall
  10. I dont realy see any sence in running 2 firewalls it would just use more system resources than one???
  11. I have an office 2007 pro install which keeps on crashing when trying to access the help options anyone help? Looks like it trys to get out to the internet (through an ISA Server) with out any luck????

  14. Yes you can if you have more than one partition or hard disk
  15. Interesting i have not had much chance to play around with boot camp you had no errors at all when trying to install Win 7?

  17. have you added shutdown /r /t 0 to the end of the batch script?
  18. press Windows + F that will give you a window just for search click advanced and it will give you all the options that you had with xp and more
  19. if you go for the non n version you can nlite the disk to take the player out but leave the format support there

  22. are they in one workgroup or do you have multiple?

  24. Sounds like most of you are just doing the usual Vista bashing here ive been running Vista Ultimate x64 since about 3 months after Vistas launch ive never had problems and never contimplated dropping back to XP!!!
