Hi guys and girls :hello: look I am starting the thread here but please move it if you think it belongs somewhere else.

I have had a probem after an install of Vista Home Premium for a friend...which I have never had before. The computer is set up for dhcp so I don't have to worry about static ip addresses etc. When I click on the internet explorer icon it wants to go to the following link and times out:

http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=76277

My temporary solution has been to write google in the webbrowser and save it is as actuell. But soon as I start internet explorer again it wants to go to the above link?

I am just installing all the updates to see if something can solve this. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what did you do?

This is normal for the first time you run IE 7 or 8 you just need to save the default settings and it will not come back up again

Hi browney595 :thumbup thanks it got me worried ....never seen that before. Everything is OK after updates and internet explorer 8.
