I believe we shouldn't be talking about setupp.ini. setupp.ini is a risky topic unless you want to get banned. Lets keep it quiet -
Or M$'s own CABARC.EXE

How to stop windows replace file msg?
T D replied to xtremee's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
SFC=System File Checker SFP=System File Protection You can disable it via patches section in nLite. If your windows source is the one you used to install windows (nlited or not) you can apply the patch to your source in nlite, run this command in cmd %XPCD%\i386\expand sfc_os.dl_ ".\sfc_os.dll" and put it in your windows\system32 folder. You might have to use unlocker. http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/ Replace %XPCD%\i386 with where your i386 dir is. Hope this helps -
Thx fizban2, now I'm not gonna bother getting bdd 2007 beta! Don't need it now. @mcored Try virtual pc because some ppl (like me) find that windows setup says that there is no hard drive (Vmware only). But it works on virtual pc and bochs.

Add-On Maker for Nlite 1.2.4 Update: 06/17/2006
T D replied to {_carnificina_}'s topic in Application Add-Ons
Maybe I wasn't clear. [SetupData] CatalogSubDir="\i386\SVCPACK" This is an extract of svcpack.inf. Say you change it to [SetupData] CatalogSubDir="\i386\SERVICE" and rename your svcpack dir to service, then your svcpack dir is now service and all hotfixes, stuff created with addon maker etc go in services not svcpack. Svcpack.inf still has to be called svcpack.inf so that's ok, but it would be good to have an option in which you can set the svcpack dir in the cab if you've changed it so you don't have to change the folder in the cab. Still not clear, but that's as simple as I can explain it. -
On second thoughts, because they are documens they go in docs...

I did. They referred me to my manufacturer when I lost my s/n. If you have the number then scrap M$.
-
Try the net user Dennis /add command. http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/27/ Read the net user method. I have no idea about your problem. And under [guirunonce], why is it command9=blahblahblah Shouldn't it be command0=blahblahblah
-
You can contact M$ and if you've got details of your cd (ie serial, type etc) they can get your manufacturer to get you a new disc.

Lucky jgut, lucky.

I've got a copy of vista beta 2 but I haven't installed it (except in vmware, testing). When you say "the beta in question was the beta for vista/longhorn" does that mean it's on the dvd or something?@McoreD The unattend.xml (not unattended.xml) goes in %VISTA%:\Docs. You know it's the right one cos there are two other xml files. They're templates.

No, the actual flash player V8. The IE activex control one.

Try reinstalling sp2. You can uninstall it via add remove progs if you installed sp2 after installing windows. Download the network edition for it pros and devs if you slipstreamed sp2 here. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;DisplayLang=en I think the easiest recommended solution would be to download ie7 beta 2 here. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;DisplayLang=en

Add-On Maker for Nlite 1.2.4 Update: 06/17/2006
T D replied to {_carnificina_}'s topic in Application Add-Ons
Oh, and a feature request. You can change the folder name of svcpack. [SetupData] CatalogSubDir="\i386\SVCPACK" (xtract of svcpack.inf) It would be good to have an option like "what is the svcpack folder called" or something if people change their folder name. Better compatibility so we don't have to rename the folder in the cab. A win32 or win64 app is built differently to a sfx archive, therefore you can resedit the icon. -
Add-On Maker for Nlite 1.2.4 Update: 06/17/2006
T D replied to {_carnificina_}'s topic in Application Add-Ons
I think I've found a bug, when making a cab, the setup file doesn't get put in addon.cab\svcpack\xxx.exe but addon.cab\xxx.exe I tried it without switches, with switches, with/out 7zip etc but it wouldn't go into addon.cab\svcpack. Arrgghh! PowerArchiver didn't display the cab's folders even though they were there! It only displayed the files as if they were in one folder. What's the point! -
Is there any way we can join the beta? I checked http://connect.microsoft.com but it's not there.

Actually I think it's higher the resolution for aero! That's what it says on M$ website.
