hey guys, i just got foobar2000 to check out, and so far i really like it. so i wanted to know if theres a current playing song for msn plugin that works with .9.3? if not, ill search for .8 and use the gen_msn.dll plugin. when i try to use it with my current version, i get this error: i have been searching for a new plugin, but it always takes me here. thanks in advance. edit: Solved, i just downloaded .8.3 and installed the plug in. works perfectly now. now to play around with the different things i can put in the personal message

take the interal hard drive out and hook it up to a computer with an external drive enclosure if you have one, then copy the windows files on to it, this will work for win 9x and me, not sure about xp/2000 as they use a different setup method. you can get a cf adapter pretty cheap, all the ones i have seen anyway. i think all of them are ata compatible, i doubt they could work any other way to be honest, but someone will prove me wrong with that your best bet though would be to get the adapter (probably around 10 - 20 bucks) and a card and make that disk bootable.

what would be the advantages to combining the 2? wouldn't it make more sense just to use MCE if you have it? just wondering is all.

i think the worst thing i did was messing around with an mp3 player. i was desoldering a bunch of stuff off the board because i was bored and when i plugged it into my laptop, blew something up. now that laptop doesn't power up oh well, parts computer

i had Kubuntu on this computer, as with Xubuntu. Kubuntu wouldn't mount my NTFS usb drive, nor my iPod or anything else, Xubuntu didn't detect my sound, so rather than messing around with those, i just put Ubuntu back on here. im happy with it, i prefer the K desktop, but i cant use Kubuntu, unless.... does anyone know how to use the K Desktop on Ubuntu?

got it! i can now play aac, mp3's and a few other formats, all i did was use the synaptic package manager and searched for gstreamer. installed all the packages i thought i would need and now its working. WOO! lol yay now im a linux convertee, now if i could just run it on my laptop lol

thanks it worked perfectly! heres my desktop, now that i have converted my desktop to linux laptop is the same as before, except it doesn't have that VWM thingy

omg lmao thats too funny. looking to remove something manually and theres a setting for it kool, how do you do that? i saw a file to edit when looking for the vwm in the rc files, but i didnt pay any attention to it lol.

k, i looked through the base.rc file and taskbar.rc file, i deleted everything to do with vwm in base.rc, taskbar had nothing in it. im still getting the same error, but it looks like a step in the right direction though. my quicklaunch icons though are moved over to the left and under my main menu button. heres a screen shot of what i mean. if we cant get it, we cant get it. thats ok, you know of any good themes that have very little use of the total desktop space? lol

where would they be, in the theme.rc file?

i saw a lot on enabling the repositories but i havent got a clue as to where to begin. im installing 6.06 right now, its at 50% installing system. 2:40 remaining

lol kool desktop btw, you wouldnt by any chance know how to get rid of the virtual desktop stuff on the taskbar in the austerity theme would you? i been looking for a long time to get rid of it to free up some space for my taskbar.

i got mp3's playing under linux. i dont have any DRM AAC files. i just need an AAC decoder for XMMS, i finally figured out how to install it o_O im burning Ubuntu 6.06 to a cd right now. ill install that and see if i can get it to install the faad2 package (it said it couldn't find it when i tried to install it the way they say too.) ill post back with any updates. thanks for the reply crahak

i tried to install it, but nothing worked. i installed Kubuntu back on, but this one cant play mp3's either, nor can it mount my external USB HDD because its ntfs. im so irritated with this stuff. also, commands missing and stuff, im just tired of it. ill play around a lil more today, but im at my wits end. im more than likely going to go back to windows xp. its just so much easier to use. thanks for the reply kamil.
