Any1 knows why Windows automaticly leaves 8mb of unpartitioned space during install?

How do I set MSCONFIG so that it will allow lower than 3s in chossing the OS in BOOT.INI? I really don't know why I would have to manually set it to 1s in boot.ini and do this everytime I wish to tweak something thru MSCONFIG. ps. Any better alternatives to MSCONFIG? Perhaps more advanced and not for average JOE?

My drivers: C > main and only partition D > network drive E > CD-ROM F > IMAGE DRIVE(ALCOHOL 120%) When I plug a USB FLASH DRIVE into a PC, WinXP will auto assign it the letter D. Although I have my SERVER's DRIVE mapped to it.

OPs. forgot to update this page. For some unknown reason I dont see the file thru network although I see everyother hidden files. I checked on the machine and the file is ofcourse there.

Used Win2k3 Sp1's and also worked like a charm. For some reason my WinXP installation doesn't have NTDETECT.COM. Any1 know why=?

Just I thought, could the problems with not installing HERCULES drivers be with microsoft already installing some weird native drivers for it that naturely don't work? Could your try to make a brandnew install, *but* using the DriverPack_Chipset_V5072.7z and post the results in this topic? It's definetly not NFORCE. It's either INTEL or VIA. Only the graphic card is NV GF 5500FX. I really don't think I would benefit anything If I tried different chipset drivers, since is the MOBILE GEFORCE that gives me the BSOD. What do U think? I have also a fortissimo , i wil test this today And, what was your results on testing?

Did an nLited WIn2k CD with USP SR1. But what I would like to do next is that I would somehow also integrete IC.EXE(internet components) and DX9c. How can I achieve this?

Yes, I've used latest Driver Packs. Except the SCRIPT file was stil version 5.11 Could the problem be fixed if I try to slipstream drivers again with the latest 5.11.3 script file

That I agree, I once tred running nLite over again on the same modified WinXP. The end results were very messy

Created my nLited WinXPSP2 with all the drivers U have to offer. And it works great. Already tried it on multiple computers. But I noticed two bugs: 1. On 1 of the desktop computers: Hercules Fortissimo, Game Theater and Digifire Fortissimo II Didn't install. Although I definatelly put it in. 2. On my notebook: When I installed it on my laptop it BSOD during install about NV something error. And coudn't complete the installation. Even when I try doing a fresh install again it gave me the same BSOD. LAPTOP is: GERICOM HUMMER: NV FX5500, Celeron 2.4GHZ Any ideas? btw. This was done with the old version 5.11

Tried the SFC /scannow But it didn't finish as it wanted a CD so it could copy some files to DLL cache and I don't have a cd with me ATM. Could this be the cause? ps. haven't tried REGSVR32 thingy. Cos I rather not since the SFC already needs a CD I don't have. All of a sudden some of the icons just changed to the icon U get when the target is incorrect in a shortcut file. So far it affected all OFFICE programs(excel,word), Alcohol 120%,... Although I can run these shortutcs without any problem, it's still very annoying not to see the correct icon. These kind of behavior has occur to me on 3 PCs all running WinXP SP2 +hotfixes. Computer is clean of any viruses, spyware and disk corruption. How to solve this problem? btw. Tried the "Repair Icons" in TWEAK XP but does nothing

Just use a crack that will disable the Activation crack. Or do like me NLITE a WinXP install and disable Activtion cra p

I help in the school of handicaped teenagers and would like to istall your USB PATCH on school computers since lots of students carry their seminars on USB drives. The computers are still running Win98 since the school won't allow budget for new compos. But the problem is that they are all running Win98 SE SLOVENIAN EDITION. What would happen if I installed your USB patch which is only for ENGLISH version of windows? Tanx in advance
