Yes, it should be fixed in the latest version of the DPs BASE. Please TEST it and let me know! -
Driverpack Graphics B V5.05
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
HUH? Now this is STRANGE! I don't understand it at all... The download link DOES work for me, but instead of saving the file, it writes it to the screen... -
Driverpacks Base V5.04.14
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
@celo: that's good. But that DP MassStorage stuff ISN'T good. But that might be because of you tried some erroneus slipstreams. Please restart with a clean uwxp share and the error should go away. I cannot predict what effect these erroneus slipstreams might have had. @mark49: I don't know if the difference is important, but I think the _3 is for IDE(PATA) devices, while _4 is for RAID (and SATA?) I discovered that error earlier today. The entries for SiS Raid 180, 181 and 182 are totally messed up. I will post a fixed version later. @muiz: Do you use all DriverPacks? Please *atttach* your txtsetup.sif, dosnet.inf and drvindex.inf @mark49: possible. @muiz: huh? It leaves a hpt3xx.in_ folder next to the I386 folder? Are you REALLY using DPs BASE V5.04.4? -
Dps Poll #1: Would You Prefer A Lite Version?
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
Chipset: size doesn't matter (0.4 MB 7zip, 1.2 MB CAB) Graphics A: I think half size: ~25 => ~13 Graphics B: no international LAN: no international MassStorage: no international Sound A: largest driver: Creative Audigy (40 MB/120 MB), I don't know of an English-only version, I WON'T start finding out how to remove other languages. Other international drivers: nVidia nForce APU, might save couple of megabytes (in uncompressed form), almost no difference with compressed; VIA Vinyl might save a couple of megabytes. Sound B: I don't think there are any international inhere. So in general... I don't think it's worth doing it, except for DP Graphics A. Those are HACKED drivers, the official ones are equally stable, so I will not use these hacked ones. -
It *should*, yes. It's not integrated using the /integrate switch...

Driverpacks Base V5.04.14
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
I took that over from RyanVM. That part wasn't 'invented' by me. -
Driverpacks Base V5.04.14
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
@celo: WHY did you extract the DriverPacks? All you have to do is put them there in the state you downloaded them: as .7z files... This way they indeed won't be recognised, and therefor the DPfiles directory will be empty... @mark49: ok, seen it. You may be right. But please check also that article I linked to. -
Driverpacks Base V5.04.14
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
Are viapdsk.sys and viasraid.sys also included in driver.cab? Checking that out right now.... EDIT: isn't there... I think I misunderstood you then? And I didn't know that either, but according to this French article it's necessary. (translated to English with Google) -
Drivers for Audio on P4C800 Deluxe
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Gouki's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
If you really are too n00b, first do some RESEARCH!!! It's not that hard at all... Or you could try my DriverPacks Piece of cake then The DriverPacks. -
Errr... You're only 3 days too late Several topics on this already...
-
Check RyanVM's updatepack... he's done all the work for you
-
I found that info about [ForceCopyDriverCabFiles] in this article. Please read it (it's not too long), and tell me if I misunderstood it... Because it litterally says that it can force to copy a driverfile that's newer than the one in driver.cab... KB article 814847
-
Nice progress here : Good work, X-Savior And I, just as RogueSpear, went immediately to the %SystemRoot%\DriverCache folder to check if there were 2 .cab files... But then I saw RogueSpears post, so I guess I'm too late Wouldn't it be some registry/.inf setting that could make it possible to keep only 1 .cab ?

If you just want to decompress DP Sound to %SystemDrive%\DP at T-39, this should work: DetachedProgram=extract.cmd extract.cmd: CMDOW @ /HID @ECHO OFF REM +=======================================================+ REM | Finding CDROM driveletter | REM |-------------------------------------------------------| SET tagfile=\I386\presetup.cmd FOR %%i in (c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z) do if exist "%%i:%tagfile%" set CDDRIVE=%%i: REM +=======================================================+ REM | Decompressing the DriverPacks to the harddisk | REM |-------------------------------------------------------| %CDDRIVE%\OEM\bin\7za.exe x -y -aoa %CDDRIVE%\OEM\DriverPack_*.7z -o"%SYSTEMDRIVE%" So this is in fact a stripped version of presetup.cmd...

Dps Poll #1: Would You Prefer A Lite Version?
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
It's been proposed, yes. But I don't think it's possible in all cases: there might be different .inf files for the English and International versions... And you'll have to rebuild the DriverPack (in case of method 2), but there doesn't seem to be too much resistance against that... I'll see what I can do now. -
Driverpacks Base V5.04.14
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
Hmmm.... What method did you use? Which DriverPack? And which DriverPacks BASE version? EDIT: I think, after looking in detail at your screenshot: -no DP MassStorage -no DP Sound A + B -no DP Graphics A + B so: DP Chipset, LAN and WLAN? -

WMP10 Slipstreamer Version 1.1
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
OK, I won't start working on it untill somebody with MCE2005 installation CDs has contacted me. I'm not going to spend HOURS just finding where what belongs, if the solution is already somewhere... So please, contact me ASAP! -
Yes, there is Use my DriverPack MassStorage and it'll be done automatically. Manually: open your dosnet.inf, go to the [ForceCopyDriverCabFiles] section and list there your file: dpti2o.sys (WITHOUT underscore!). Now it should work!

I still got plenty invites too... just PM me with your e-mail address as subject.

7zip extract to %ProgramFiles% problem
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to CypherBit's topic in Application Installs
If it's a setup, use setup.exe -y /q /r:n if it's an archive, use archive.exe -y -o%ProgramFiles% Note that if you add this last command to the registry from Windows, you'll have to use double %! (that would be %%ProgramFiles%%) -
... but at the same time they've made it VERY hard for other media players to work on it... AND they've set the same price for it, which makes OEMs like Dell still choose the regular, non reduced version. So the result of this sanction by the EU: NULL!

Wireless Router Signal Prob.
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to matrix0978's topic in Networks and the Internet
Make sure there isn't too much iron and water between it... We got a WLAN here too, with a distance of only ~5m and still a low signal strength. It's because of too many walls and some iron in the way... Also too much walls shortly after eachother decreases the possible distance for a decent signal. -
Slipstreaming Windows Media Player 10
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Obliviator's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
... or anyone with a MSDN subscription could get it. I'm interested too... I'm just starting to work on V1.02 of my slipstreamer, but this time with ALL features of WMP10... All info is welcome. -
WMP10 Slipstreamer Version 1.1
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
I just checked the number of downloads... V1.1 has been downloaded 3409 times! Total downloads is 4698... Tomorrow I'm starting testing to get it completely slipstreamed. Now I'm not so anti-WMP10 anymore If anyone already got detailed info on what to do to get WMP10 completely slipstreamed (read: with ALL features), please tell me.
