  1. This setting is causing the Windows Update during installation: [Data] AutomaticUpdates=yes What's this one??? ExtendOEMPartition=0 Please describe its function - it seems to be an undocumented entry... And this one! [Apps] firefox.msi mplayer.cmd dotnet.cmd msnmsgs.msi Where did you find that info? About the PnP Monitor popup: it seems to exist only in the latest versions... And as you say yourself, randomly... Blame MS.
  2. Let's see what it'll give :s
  3. You could also set the max space for temp files to 0 in that case. But maybe you would still like some temporary internet files?
  4. I don't know about that exact tweak... But I always did it like this: cmdlines.txt [Commands] REGEDIT /S RegTweaks.reg Has always been working for me...
  5. Or you can use RegShot or RegSnap (1 of the 2 is freeware, don't remember which one).
  6. If you just import that regtweak at cmdlines.txt, it will be applied to all users. No extra tweaks required then...
  7. I'm afraid not... These aren't adapted to edited DriverPacks. It's just to speed up the control panels installation. I could of course remove the skipping part. It won't take so much extra time, I guess.
  8. These files work with subdirectories like this: [Directories] d1 = \I386 [Files] d1,driverfile.sys, subfolder\driverfile.sys with subfolder a subfolder in the I386 dir: I386\subfolder. I hope this helps...
  9. @mark49: OK... then I'll change that as well... **** man all these sources say different things  And this will be what I'll be applying then... Thanks for your research! It has definetely been helping me alot @erik_demon: thanks! That means the updated portcls.sys file was SUCCESSFULLY copied!
  10. I noticed, it's already downloaded If everything goes well there will be a new version online tonight.
  11. If everything goes well, already today.
  12. Please post the hwid of your VIA VT8237 controller in this topic! If I don't get any submits, DP MassStorage will NOT work for you! UPDATE: apparently it's better that you also list your Promise 376/378 hwid. Thank you.
  13. OK LOTS of bugs to get fixed.... 1) the problem with nircmd.exe : SOLVED (problem was that it wasn't yet in the current directory...) 2) VIA VT8237. The problem is that ASUS boards need another driver. So the ONLY way to get this fixed, is that I get the hwids from ASUS users and let us hope that they are different, if not, then this problem will be impossible to solve. 3) DigeratiPrime's problem with robocopy & Intel Chipset .inf files when using method 2 is SOLVED, I think. I used a different temp folder because the one I used previously seemed to cause some trouble... @erik_demon: no portcls.sys? Please check in your installed Windows what the size of portcls.sys is, or its version number, so I can see if the newer one is being copied or not. @Ghostrider: wtf is all that... Please redo it completely.. as you said. @codejunkie: that won't work, I'm afraid.
  14. To make it easier for the consumers, which is 90%+ of the market, manufacturers pack their drivers as simlpe executable files, with nice wizards etc. The actual .inf files are INSIDE this archive: in most cases they're extractable with an archiving program like 7-zip or WinRAR.
  15. Errr... Thanks I guess That's some line Slightly... is that 5% or rather 1%?
  16. Nope, they aren't listed, because they AREN'T SUPPORTED yet. In the next version they will be included EDIT: topic closed.
  17. Open your txtsetup.sif, search for this line: PCI\VEN_1106&DEV_3149 = "viasraid" and change it to PCI\VEN_1106&DEV_3149 = "viamraid"
  18. Yes, indeed buletov Thanks again
  19. @shake: PLEASE HAVE SOME PATIENCE!!! You waited only 3.5 hours and you're already bumping! Open your txtsetup.sif and search for this line: PCI\VEN_1106&DEV_3149 = "viasraid" and change it to: PCI\VEN_1106&DEV_3149 = "viamraid" EDIT: it should be vice versa... fixed now
  20. Hawn? What does that mean? Did it work for you? If yes, please tell on what hardware?
  21. Please give me a downloadlink to it. I've only seen that problem of 'new-hardware-wizard-monitor' since very shortly. I think it has to do with a) Dells Windows or B) Service Pack 2. Are you both using the Dell OEM Windows?
  22. Is it ctzapxx.exe that shows this error?
  23. So you don't have a aliide.sys error but this one? Will it EVER end? Please try this: remove it from that section and test again.
  24. Thanks mate Now I don't have to use that stupid AutoIt script anymore!
  25. That's because this line should only be added if there WAS NO WINNT.SIF PREVIOUSLY I'll take a look at it tomorrow, now I'm too tired.
