Yes just select any from the Vista folder. Search for "driver64" inside your temp folder. Also check your other temp folder, the one in your profile path. Start - type cmd then type cd /d"%temp%" press enter when it locates you it is where is your personal temp folder.

Yes. This is fixed in the next version. Or just integrate the hotfixes after vLite, proven working, just a little bigger. So when the next vLite is out you can integrate hotfixes before and then when it cleans the removals it will be little smaller than the other way around.

But that zip file is what you need Why play with the exe. Remember integrate any inf from that Vista folder. About the iata75_enu.exe. Run it, don't press Next, go into your temp folder and find the folder with "Driver" and "Driver64" in it. Integrate the Driver folder for 32bit. Also if you find zip for that one too then you can directly extract it, no need to play with the temp folder.

Did you integrate the Hotfixes in that image prior vLite?

Click on that link you posted, it's a zip file. Extract only the "Vista" folder from it, that's the one you need to integrate, I don't see any msi files.

Kalabaza, that about the drivers is simply suspend support with the proper display drivers. About timezone, heard about that before, you can setup all regional settings in the unattended page anyway. I would change that if I changed it on purpose but nope.

dhtjdd, maybe on real machine it detected some hardware which files are in the driver.cab. But it's weird not to have that cab on the CD, never heard about that one. habys, so I can ignore the IE7 integration problem you had in the other topic? Please post there if it's solved.

I presume that: Mobile needs Modem Support (if it usually supports some mobile function through it) Logitech USB Headset needs USB Audio Did you select Printer Compatibility to be sure that all needed components are saved? mikesw, sorry but that's not a good reason. Proper unattended file when booting from the CD is Winnt.sif, no need to confuse and keep the other one, people might edit that one and wonder why their manual changes are not applied.

I don't see that file in Vista. Either see if Application Experience removal caused that (it has compatibility stuff in it) or simply that program is expecting XP dll...ask them about the error.

You vote for the 2nd nasty. No I don't believe localizations have anything to do with it. Can you do a quick test in VMWare with network disabled. Reinstall Vista with any configuration in it and try. If you again experience some error then it's your Vista somehow...which I doubt, I bet it's the network connection. It's easier for you to check, I have VMWare busy and network drivers are not installed. Or wait 24h. edit: redownloaded your exact dxweb installer and it downloads. Gonna try now without the IE, I bet it will fail. Sorry for this but I had the wrong dxweb.exe, probably older version :\

Be careful not to spend all your online activations if you have them. Also ask your store or someone are you even allowed to reinstall the OS, meaning should it be activated with your cdkey.

slippykillsticks, I think I got it. Keep the Network DDE service, that should take care of the hang. If you confirm that component will be hidden in Win2k because it's too much work (involves hacking) for only 60kB. It will stay in XP though. Also it's very recommended to keep the DTC service if you keep Com+, that will solve that comsvcs error. Let me know how it goes.

Have you tried entering your CDKEY, what does it mean OEM, if it was preinstalled and you downloaded an installation CD from the net I can't help you. Please explain.

AgiHammerklau, if I only read your comment before then I wouldn't try it...but I did and it does stop at the saving settings :\ First issue was that the DTC is removed and it's needed for COM+, ok that solved one issue but it wasn't the one causing the hang. I'm on it.

Jeronimo, I tried it (selected IE) and it was the same, Run, Next, Finish. But I didn't have the internet connection, is that crucial in this test or you don't even see the GUI?

Either right-click then and if you have Winrar (or some other similar tool) installed choose Extract. If there is no extract and you have the extractor with that support then try running that driver exe, but just run it, don't press Next and see in your temporary files through all subfolders is there anything that could be that driver. For example if it is Intel Matrix Storage driver you will have Driver and Driver64 inside that subfolder.
