  1. It's the pest again Some of the drivers that I downloaded said they are for both 32-bit and 64-bit. When they are extracted there isn't always one for each. If by chance a 32-bit is loaded with vLite is there a problem. If I get "allow" popups during install, am I just suppose to decline those and then manually install those drivers?
  2. Thanks!! No, I haven't personally tested them. They are the drivers downloaded from Lenovo that are specifically for the T61 Thinkpad. Some of them are from Intel.com (i.e. turbo memory and chipset and a few others) but they say are specifically for Vista 64-bit with my hardware. Why do you think some won't work?
  3. Thanks again. The drivers were actually being loaded into the C:\WINDOWS\temp it was just difficult to locate, but I finally found them. Anyway, this should be it... Remember I am doing this for 64-bit Vista. I am trying to integrate 11 drivers. I used the Insert -> Multiple Driver Folder option and navigated to the folder that all 11 drivers are located. I get this list of inf files... Since I am integrating 11 drivers for 64-bit and trying to avoid the 32-bit drivers I just want to see if you think this is the right selection. I have 15 files highlighted for 11 drivers. Does this look right?
  4. OK, I tried that. I am doing this for 64-bit Vista. The folder that says x64 has no .inf files. The folder that just says "Vista" has a bunch of .inf files. Should I just select anyone of those? Just want to make sure that I do it right since this chipset driver is the same download for 32-bit and 64-bit. I'm just not sure if I have to pick out the right .inf out of the right folder for 64-bit. Hopefully this is my final question. Thanks for sticking with me... I ran the driver, while on the "next screen" I looked for the temp folder. Where is it? The only temp folder I find is C:\WINDOWS\Temp . It has about 100 different folders in there! Sorry I'm such a newb! Thanks!
  5. My apologies... This is the link I intended to give you. It is a .exe that won't extract... http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Des...on〈=eng The one I posted before that is a .zip file says it is for "advanced users". I suppose they are actually both the same chipset driver. Here is the description of both drivers (see #2 and #3): http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_res...mp;submit=Go%21 Here is another .exe that won't extract (iata75_enu.exe): http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Des...64〈=eng Here is the one that extracts into a .msi: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/TVAN-EAPFPR.html Maybe this one just can't be integrated. Thanks for your help.
  6. Well, thanks for your help. I was able to use WinRar to extract a few of the drivers to reveal the .inf files, but of them extracted to .msi files. So how do I get the .inf files out of the .msi files? Also, this is the main driver I wanted to integrate: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Des...on〈=eng It is the chipset driver... "The Intel® Chipset Device Software installs the Windows* INF files." BTW, I'm using vLite on my desktop to create the image and disk, but the final product is intended for a clean install for my laptop. Anyway, when I tried to run the chipset driver (on my desktop) it immediately tried to install. There was no "next" option. I just got an error saying that it couldn't complete the install on this system and it canceled. So can you are anyone tell me how I can extract .inf files out of a .msi? Also, can someone have a look at that chipset driver and tell me how I extract the .inf from that? Thanks in advance!
  7. Topic speaks for itself. I'm a total newb to vLite. On the drivers tab of vLite, I'd like to integrate all the drivers for a Lenovo T61 into the Vista installation. All of the drivers I downloaded are .exe files and apparently I need .inf files. So what do I do. I'm sure there is a guide that explains all this stuff somewhere and I've done some searching but I can't find the answers. Please help!
