[SOLVED] Big trouble with nLited SP3 WinNT & WinNT32 installation
aittersu, how do you manage that? Do you use nLite just to add addons or something? Any other programs involved? There was a fix about when nLite is used only for integration, then this thing could happen. But if you remove at least one component or use options then it is a mystery how you got that issue, please explain.

nLite 1.4.9.1 - Honey Turbo 9.1
Yeah, the specific fixes are: - Slipstream update.exe directly (when you extract SP) - Slipstream XP SP3 into XP RTM (SP0) under Vista, CDKey issue Both of them rare so better be silent and deadly.

why is the website down?
If you meant on error 403 then read the guide linked on that error page. If it is 404 please let me know which link.

My Findings
LegoLiam™, 1. Tried it now and it is not on the list. After first removing it of course. 2. Why would it.

HFSLIP - Test releases
nLite does not switch ansi/unicode, it detects the file encoding. Maybe you are saving file so weird that it messes up encoding detection, anyway let me know on the PM if you find something for sure.

Slipstream SP3
huh... I think you would be the first one to test this. Better idea would be to take clean XP preSP3 installation files and slipstream only final SP3.
-
Product key not valid.
It is Vista issue AND only for those who have the issue even with the new version in the first place. For me it works the same RTM to SP3, from XP and Vista.
-
Product key not valid.
Confirmed. If you are integrating SP3 from Vista then first slipstream SP2 and then SP3, that works fine. I will check if that is possible to skip.
-
Product key not valid.
Yes it is fixed, on my tests at least. Going to recheck this. btw dypsis, aren't you little too easy on the trigger posting about this all over before you tried it? Works for majority, gotta find out why it did not for some, that is all. Willieboy, are you by any chance slipstreaming into the XP RTM version, without any prior SPs?

Webpage Cannot Be Saved
Windows Mail is needed for .MHT files but there is no Mail in your preset.

My Findings
1. that is already done 2. well you could just select Unattended and choose Apply - Rebuild. That will not add any change, just autounattend.xml 3. nah 4. that one is in todo since vlite 0.5 alpha kinda boring but it is needed TcpIp patch - dont want to bother with the hotfixes and other issues when they detect patched file (hash not correct) Assistance\Client, is that part of Help support or what? Network\Downloader is a part of BITS, removable in the next version. mdmcx*** is part of Modem Support, already removable. Some other mdm listed were added in the modems in the next one. wdmaudio...needed for sound. prn, one is fax support, other XPS Printer, part of .NET 3 servicing\Packages, needed Windows\Help, again Help support.

I never saw the EXTREME Option
Run vLite.exe with the -extreme switch.

problems with hotfixes integrating
So basically you did not install it and checked Windows Update if the updates are still listed as needed to be installed?
-
Webpage Cannot Be Saved
alvinkhorfire, I never heard of something influencing that. It should work no matter what was removed. Try searching about that problem on the net, I am sure you will find more people with that issue unrelated to removal.

Bug in vLite 1.1.6 Final?
Got the issue with your preset. Gonna check, thx.
-
What all can cause "no images available"?
Try again just by enabling the Unattended page and Apply - Save Changes Only. Fill your cdkey and other options on that page. It could be related to that "select this version on boot" as well so try once with that unchecked as well.
-
I can't connet to the network after using vlite 1.1.6
Can't connect, as in wrong password maybe? Or the connection wasn't created at all? (can you find it in the Network Connections)

Windows Server 2008 SP1 X64 & Vlite 1.1.6Final ..... results
benifin, thanks. Ease up on the red, you are making me blush TranceEnergy, try skipping in video files, without the Media Scheduler you will get a tiny audible tick or a pop, while it is completely silent when Media Scheduler is in place. I must say I prefer XP hardware access than this priority hotfix.

Webpage Cannot Be Saved
Any website? Try Google.com or something even simpler.

problems with hotfixes integrating
Are you sure that those were for the SP1? Did you get any popups after integration notifying you that some are not integrated? How did you check if they are integrated?
-
Xp Sp3 - Nothing removed - Unattended fails
That was fixed, shouldn't happen. Gonna think about possible reasons and maybe send you a test version.

nLite 1.4.9.1 - Honey Turbo 9.1
Kirby, it could be the other two, not the NAP. Please let me know if you find out for sure and I'll put it into the compat. But actually both of these should be in the Ethernet compat. Camarade_Tux, don't have a link but this is good for fixing .NET http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?s=&...st&p=744080

nLite 1.4.5 final --- Incorrect MD5sum
Those on the site are correct. You probably mixed selfextracting and installer version.

nLite 1.4.9.1 - Honey Turbo 9.1
Keelhaul, if it allows you to do it. Not recommended. Outbreaker, I think that is hard-coded in XP. In Vista it is a reg entry.
