  1. All right, glentium, I was actually thinking of doing that, to tell you the truth .I'm going to leave the list of checksums there, but I've added an additional downloadable MD5 file.
  2. List updated for July hotfixes. glentium: I discussed the idea with Tomcat, and at this point, he doesn't feel there is too much of a need for it. In addition, the tables in his website lists are already very wide.
  3. I'd rather have TommyP or Tomcat answer your question, but here's my take on it: You could create a self-extracting switchless installer and dump it in HFSVCPACK. However, some of these new installers MS is making seem to require a special setup. This may or may not apply to IE7. Try this topic over at the RyanVM Forums if you are looking for a switchless installer (extract it out of the CAB file).
  4. Fast update on your list this time, Tomcat ! Thanks!
  5. Reg tweaks belong in HFSVCPACK. Not sure what you are talking about for the other two.
  6. Yes, you were the one who requested it . Anyway, I think I'll talk to Tomcat integrating it with his lists.
  7. Question: Does anyone here use my list at all? Because if no one does, I might as well remove it ! I put this here because a user requested it once.
  8. Oh. whoops, duh! Sorry ! BTW, ActiveSync was also updated (you probably know without my telling you anyway ).
  9. As I posted above, the hotfix (KB911562) is only supported by HFSLIP_60624 and later. Please download the latest version from the main thread or FDV's site.
  10. RogueSpear: How come I don't see anything in your main post past the InstallShield Script Engine entry? Is it because I'm using IE or something? Or am I looking in the wrong spot? Also, CCleaner was unfortunately updated again (1.31.325).
  11. Are you referring to me? Because I'm definitely grateful!
  12. Tomcat - don't take this personally, but is there any way to speed up the release of HFSLIP finals after Patch Day? I know you need to do a lot of testing and release a bunch of feedback, but I find that once you release a new final, there are only a few days before I have to add more hotfixes. By the way, 10 patches comin' up on the 11th!
  13. cse, I assume you also got the problem before. I think the actual reason is including LegitCheckControl.cab as well as the KB905474 hotfix. I STILL haven't had time to test , but I'm pretty sure that's why Windows was giving me that problem.
  14. Actually, TAiN, that message is now outdated. In HFSLIP_60624 and later, Tomcat installed the hotfix at first logon. More info here in the changelog.
  15. Well, like TAiN said, Linux is probably good (not sure about the open-source part though).
  16. Oh, and then find out that WGA is even more prevalent in Vista
  17. @dziubek, your txtmode floppy disk error is most likely caused by an error in your WINNT.SIF file.
  18. I see the update but don't really see any change to HFSLIP INSTRUCTIONS.rtf. When I said it needed an update, I was specifically referring to the part of CDIMAGE in the document (boot.img should be boot.bin) although I didn't outright mention it.
  19. Tomcat: HFSLIP INSTRUCTIONS.rtf in the hfslip.zip file should be updated. Also, changelog.txt has an error. The last entry says May 28 instead of June 28.
  20. List updated for KB905474 (WGAN) and KB911280.
  21. @Kiki, yes, that is supported. @vci, please attach your HFSLIP.LOG file. We can't help you without seeing it as you are not really giving us much information about your problem.
  22. @wrulab, you need to use the latest version of HFSLIP, released on June 28. Some, if not many, of the hotfixes you have, including KB917344 and KB911562, are only supported by HFSLIP_60624 and later. The May 28th version, for example, does not support aolsupp.exe and the new Windows Script 5.6 (WindowsXP-Windows2000-Script56-KB917344-x86-enu.exe). Also, for your DirectX CAB files, only BDANT.CAB and DXNT.CAB are supported for Windows 2000. The rest are ignored by HFSLIP. On the same note, for the extra DX9c gaming binaries, only those that are named [date]_d3dx9_[number]_x86.cab are processed by HFSLIP. You can delete the rest of the DX CABs that you placed in HFCABS.
  23. Microsoft has two command-line tools, cdburn and dvdburn, in its Windows Server 2003 resource kit package. They will burn ISO files to disc and can also erase RW discs. With CDBurn, it is possible to set a burn speed. Available for download here. Use 7-Zip or WinRAR to extract the two tools.
  24. Thanks, the_guy. I guess this new version only calls home every 14 days. I'm getting a bit tired of the constant updates though.
  25. T D, the new DPBase is supported by RC8 Beta 4. Find the download link in the first unpinned topic. Any version earlier than Beta 4 will not support it as you reported.
