  1. Hello all, I am using HFSLIP version 1.7.8. HFSLIP ran fine and I test install the ISO on a new system. When I ran MBSA on that system, the report showed 2 security updates missing: KB958215 and KB954600. I checked the file list and re-ran HFSLIP again, but the same results. Since one of the missing update relates to IE and the other Media Player, should I be removing any existing KB files to make it work? Thank you. PS: I attached the HFSLIP log file for reference. HFSLIP.txt
  2. Hello tomcat, I could locate that setting in Roxio, but I disabled the setting that said "validate the files before creation". Now the error message does not come up, which I think is logical.
  3. Hello, I've tried HFSLIP-ing a fresh SOURCE. The same error appeared too. Here I am extracting the relevant files. Thanks for the help. Rgds, PS hfslip_files.zip
  4. Hi Tomcat, Hmm... that's a good thought. I've tried that option. Same error message appeared. Seems my original source could be corrupted? Let me reload my source. PS
  5. Hello, Thanks for the reply. I'll uplaod the zip later. How do I compress the ASMS folder?
  6. Hello all, I have been using HFSLIP 1.2.1 for a while now. Recently, after running it with the April patches, when I tried to burn the SOURCESS into a CD using Roxio, I got the message "The directory I386\ASMS\52\msft\windows\net\dxmrtp\dxmrtp.cat exceeds the maximum depth (8)". This is the first time I've seen this error message. I ignored the error and continued with the burning. But the CD I created had problmes installed. It mentioned about unable to find the NTOSKRNL file, and setup cannot continue. Anyone encountered the same problem before? Help appreciated. Thanks very much, PS
  7. Hello all, Thanks for the replies. I'll do another install to confirm the error messages and the hfslip.log file. BTW, I do not have any files in HFEXPERT. Thanks, PS
  8. Hello all, I was using HFslip version 1.2.1 to create the latest XP ISO. The creation process was ok. However, during installation, an error message window popped up with the Window Text UDPROOTS and the Error Message : "open SrcStore failed =>0x2(2)". Has anybody encountered this before? Was there something that I missed. Thank you.
  9. Hey, thanks. I am trying out 60628 now.
  10. Hello, My HFSLIP version is _60528. I obtained the MDAC_TYP.EXE from your HF file list at http://users.telenet.be/tc76/winup/_win2k.html I select the options for MDAC 2.8 SP1 and the hotfix 911562. Thnks for replying, PSS
  11. Hello, I wanted a Win2000 SP4 disc with MDAC 2.8SP1 slipstreamed with the KB911562 hotfix. If MDAC_TYP.exe and KB911562 were in the HF directory, the resulting installed image caused MBSA to flag that MS06-014 not installed. I suspect it has something to do with MDAC_TYP.exe. I searched the threads for help, and the closest I got was a suggestion to SVCPACK MDAC_TYP.exe. So I followed the steps in MS KB 814847. Do I do this before or after running HFSLIP? Thanks, PSS
  12. Hello forummers, I have just been assigned the task of keeping "secure" images for XP, 2000 and 2003 in my company. I tried my hand in creating a Win2000 bootCD by following the detailed instructions at http://www.vorck.com/2ksp5.html Everything was fine, there was no ERROR_LOG.TXT generated too. So I burned the CD and installed on a test machine. The following observations were made: 1) During the installation process, I was not prompted to key in the Administrator password. The password entry field was grayed out. 2) The Administrator password was "blank" 3) I downloaded and ran MBSA 2.0, and did a scan 4) MBSA 2.0 reported 2 security packs missing: - MS04-003 (MDAC) - Q832483 - MS06-023 (JScript) - KB917344 I found out that these fixes does not come with the "integrate" key. I think I can safely ignore MS04-003 since someone mentioned its already obsolete. I extracted the DLLs from MS04-003 and true enough, the versions were either older or same as what was installed. Anyone having the same problems as me? Can someone help me on MS06-023? Thanks, Help appreciated. Passivity
